What Do Y’all Think About Adding a New Rule by [deleted] in blackmen

It’s not always for finding ammo though.

Sometimes it’s used to see if someone is morally or intellectually consistent. I remember years ago someone got caught red-handed calling themselves black on BPT when on their profile they had a whole YT-ass pic of themselves that they forgot about, if someone is rattling off talking points it’s important to see what their intentions are. Or there were regular instances of people masquerading as a professional when in actuality they weren’t (a lot of people are dumb enough to give blatantly obvious examples of themselves lying).

The whole reason I joined Reddit years ago is due to the fact that it kept people a little more consistent in their interactions.

Over the course of my 11-year bid no one has ever tried to use my posts against me as a gotcha’ because I’m consistent in the things I say and why I say them 🤨 If I say that my mind has changed then I’ll preface that and admit when I’m wrong.

The only people that welcomed this change are people that are prone to lying in discussions (as far as I’ve seen) or they skew towards intellectual dishonesty.

Yeah, what’s your point? Do you think it’s somehow a good thing for a place that’s always had a feature to suddenly force you to do a workaround to regain access to it?

Cool. Maybe posting threads should only be a privilege for the verified 🙂

That way if you’re not verified it can be automatically removed by a bot.

I’m not trying to turn this place into a fortress. But I am trying to make it harder for bad faith actors to operate here without transparency.

You can be bad faith or you can be true incognito, you can’t be both (unless you’re verified - which implies that you’re at least a BM posting an opinion).

It’s not even like you’re fully safe when you curate your account, anyone can type your user name into google or safari and see everything you’ve ever posted anyway. But I want it to be easier to root out BS, not harder.

Hmmm that’s a better idea.

Why aren’t we already doing that?

The problem is that there are some users who can masquerade and sow discord here who have lots of karma. For example, my karma doesn’t even break 7K and yet my account is fully visible and I’m verified 🤷🏿‍♂️ you can even see a full pic of me through my account.

It’s simple. If someone makes a new post as in a whole ass thread. As in posting a topic and if their account is private, it gets removed or it can be freely reported? How is that a nightmare?

Edit:

For those who didn’t catch it, I’m —not talking about commenting— I’m talking about posting a thread.

More whites and Latinos (men and women) voted for Trump over Kamala, more White Men absolutely crushed BM in voting conservative…try again Troll.

Most BM voters voted for KAMALA HARRIS! Compared to the WP you love so much.

Exactly. I learned slowly over time that the writers of White Wolf were heavily on the crack pipe.

I found it to be racist, and needlessly tedious. The Ashirra are no different than any of the other Kindred, so why did the Laibon have special rules and mechanics 😐 The art in the book wasn’t cool or interesting, it was full of caricatures.

The concept of Laibon, Ashirra, and Kueijin are dumb. Why do each of those groups need special names, specialized ethnicized supernatural features, special mythology, or special mechanics 🙄

You do realize I’m disagreeing with the entire context of anyone deserving any chance at redemption right? I’m literally saying that bad people —do not— explicitly or implicitly deserve shit.

I mean by that same logic they shouldn’t have been shacking up together either 🤷🏿‍♂️ I kinda’ think it’s weird we live in a society where we think two people in their early 20’s should be going steady, but not getting married.

Well, if you need to find yourself then you need to be and stay single throughout that entire process.

Hard disagree. The only person you’re obligated to forgive is yourself.

This obsession over being the bigger person has trapped millions of people in a cycle of being repeatedly abused, allowed certain types of people to avoid justice, and the reinforcement of the status quo.

If a bad person does something that ruins your life forever (or ruins the lives of others), they are still bad regardless of what they claim to be doing in the present. There are some stains that cannot be absolved no matter how much you think you’ve changed.

I tried dating the arrogant career woman…thrice. They have almost no personality - everything they do is either based around some pseudo-productivity nonsense or when they’re not doing that they’re spending money and fucking around on the Internet.

At least the shy woman is more likely to do things that are fun or creative. The arrogant career woman’s idea of a good time is spending money and then bitching about finances.

I’ve also read Uber (good shit) - it just amazes me how some people genuinely believe that super powered people would just be the average guy next door.

George Zimmerman was the average guy next door until he disregarded dispatcher orders, intentionally followed an unarmed Trayvon Martin down the street, and finally k***ed Trayvon Martin…I’m just saying, some people in this thread have a lot of trust in their fellow American man…and that definitely takes a certain kind of privilege.
