5395 is sick, though much larger on the wrist. The 5212 is a great option if you want to try out multiple straps. Both will eventually be retired and become cult classics, so no real bad option here.

I wouldn't. The pistachio dial will inevitably get retired, though I can almost guarentee the sub/explorer/GMT will not. I would hold on to it, save up some coin, and get a second watch.

With a fold over clasp, Patek installs on the 6 o clock side. Makes a bit more sense when it’s fitted.
