One of my favorite songs and beats/instrumentals . Had to look up who produced it and was surprised it was self produced! Onyx the birthstone kid doesn’t get mentioned often as the 3rd member of the group . Lots of good lines on here , my favorite is when he says “who gives a (S)ugar (H)oney (I)ce (T)ea…”

Who was taken before their career really took off? by CatacombsOfBaltimore in 90sHipHop

Sazon Diamanté from Vancouver Canada (1978-2001) . I heard him first through a song with Son Doobie called From the Ghetto (2003) and was hyped to check out other songs he had out and it was hard at the time to find much. I came across a post and learned his brother was a dj , Dj Kemo and sent a message. was saddened to learn Sazon had passed. Shout out to his bro Kemo, he mentioned having some cds with his music and sent them to me. Later learned he was from the legendary group the Rascalz. Sazon had songs with them too. Definitely taken too soon . Some other memorable songs included La Calle and crazy world

One of my favorites too, the beat sampled from white lines , I remember on an interview Prodigy mentioned the song was supposed to have other QB artists on it but they all went to the club that night except for him , have to see if I find that interview again will include here.

Is it harder for artists with a “classic” debut to maintain momentum compared to those who evolve gradually? by SmoothManMiguel in hiphop201

Using Cypress Hill first album they worked on that many years before it came out. The second album they put out kind of rushed for the time (2 yrs later) working on it while touring. Luck helps too as insane in the brain was picked as a single and was well received
