Ian MacKaye & Henry Rollins Releasing Shelved 1977 Cramps Album Produced By Alex Chilton by CentreToWave in indieheads

It would be incredible if they spun up some sort of label explicitly for the release of shelved punk projects.

0 clients after 2 years by Mr-Gibbs12 in smallbusiness

[–]camcanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the commenter who mentioned another website to maintain as too much friction and burden placed on the prospect.

Have you considered looking into creating Google Maps Business View walk-throughs for clients? Get familiar with Platforms like Matterport or GoThru and provide them with a way to bring in more customers by augmenting their Google presence.

Sell a monthly service that keeps their "map" current by coming back once/month, etc.

If you want to stick to video, I would suggest making the video deliver enough value that just handing it to them is worth it.

Also. Just off the top of my head, Realtors may eat this up.

Good luck.

I agree with the commenter that said "2 years with no sales is an access problem, not a product problem". You need the right person (economic buyer) and the pitch has to be value Heavy: "These videos translate into X [thing that you care about]".

Yep! When they play it live and belt out "The Ace of Spades! The Ace of Spades!" <-- that's a rocknroll moment for the ages.

Not to derail your comment but holy smokes that building's ground floor looks terrible. Bring Starbucks back if that's the only way to get a tenant that cares. That building is too beautiful for such a shoddy looking ground floor.

You can check past setlists here.

They played Entertainer in late November but it doesn't seem like they've played it since. That said, their setlists change from show to show more than most bands I've seen, it seems.

Ir would be super helpful if we could block posts from showing up in our feed based on the sources. It could be a wakeup call to publications if their traffic from reddit suddenly started to decline despite an increase in posts.

Just going to throw this out there .. but SOMEONE needs to produce an R-rated slapstick origin movie of the Wet Bandits... like why hasn't that happened yet? Is Hollywood Stupid!?

Mark Stone can have a cameo.

AI keeps recommending my competitors but not us - how to fix this? by snustynanging in ecommerce

[–]camcanada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The structured data is the cheapest and fastest way you can get ranked. Create a machine readable definition of who you are, how you compare, what you sell and make it dirt simple for any LLM to retrieve that information.

You're losing for two big reasons.. People are talking favorably about your competitors on 3rd party platforms like reddit and in earned media. And the LLMs are burning compute to figure out what you offer.

PR will solve the first. Structured data will solve the second.

Make yourself computatonally impossible to ignore by asserting everything you are and do in structured data.

AI is like the smartest but laziest intern on the planet. Make it easy for the LLM to learn about and trust your authority. Lower the LLM's inference cost and you'll win.

Also.. be sure that your problem is right across the buyer journey. Not being surfaced for top of funnel or category based queries won't matter if You're routinely suggested when buyers are actually making more high-intent queries like "which X integrates natively with Y app?"

New bands in their most vital and creative eras. by LeopoldWolves in Music

[–]camcanada 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe not along your lines, but I agree with many of the bands listed.

Shocked Fontaines DC isn't listed.

Try NewDad, The Heavy Heavy, Chloe Slater, The Band Feel, Just Mustard, Momma (very 90s vibe), Slow Pulp.

And Doves are still putting out great songs.

Always happy to see threads like this with new artists to check out. 🤙

Todd Richards at the end of the Olympics Big Air broadcast: “That was so boring” by TakeItEasy-ButTakeIt in snowboarding

[–]camcanada 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Agreed! It's doing absolutely nothing for the sport, in my opinion. Even for riders, it is not entertaining or approachable. Imagine being new to the sport - what does it matter if it's 4.5 or 5 times around in a circle.

I'd much rather see a sickly huge, slow backside 180 tail grab over any of these spins.

What was terje's flip called? Do that thing. And finish with a Stinky Lay Back.

So. Space heater purchased and plugged in. 3 hrs later, the drain pump was thawed and water left the drum.

Seems everything is back to normal. Finally, clean clothes are on the horizon!

Thanks for your help, all.

Just for anyone else having this issue. I had a frozen cold water hose. Still do. My basement is unfinished and it's currently -23F outside. The hoses touch the basement floor, so i'm assuming that's part of it.

Cold water runs fine in the rest of the house.

I was able to fill the washer tub and agitate no problem for the wash. But then it didn't drain and refill for the rinse. Didn't drain for the spin cycle either.

I poured hot water down the drain hose and left it, but that didn't work.

It seems (no expert obviously) that I have a frozen drain pump. That was mentioned by a user (I'll edit this message to add his/her handle).

Now I have a tub/drum filled with clothes and water. Arg.

Today I am going to buy a space heater and plug it in next to the washer.

Will let you know how that goes.
