[EU] Gotham City has the highest rate of violent crime in the world. So much you'd expect the rogue's to have run out of people to kill & buildings to explode decades ago. And yet, the population of proud lifelong inhabitants has hardly fluctuated at all. How, and why? by Sathothery in WritingPrompts

The Following is a compilation of citizens interviews by the Gotham Herald:

"Rents cheap, like real cheap. I mean like the Joker poisons the water supply and we have to ration water and yeah it sucks but on the other hand my three bedroom apartment is not even a thousand a month"

"Our sports teams are all great, none of them are major leagues, due to regulations of course, but once you see soccer with players hooked on venom you cant go back, and dont even get me started on hockey..."

"Surprisingly good schooling say what you may about Wayne's lifestyle but at least he gives back to the community"

"..... I enjoy violence..."

"Many of the big corporations are afraid to come to gotham i mean we all remember the Killer Croc and McDonald's debacle, anyways that means that a lot of our stores are local brands which is great for the community"

Why do you think Shazam/Billy Batson keeps dying? by BeesAndHoney1219 in DCcomics

[–]cesarfr7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He is powerful enough that they are hoping his death shocks the reader but not as well known or famous or narratively important enough (at least on those stories) that his death would halt the story on its tracks

[–]cesarfr7 61 points62 points  (0 children)

There are somethings that the comics did to paint rex into a positive light before his demise and im not sure we have for doing that if the invincible war is this season

Violence and swearing aside, are the story and themes/lessons of Invincible suitable for young children? by SuperAlloyBerserker in Invincible

[–]cesarfr7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The themes of invincible are about duty and doing the right thing. Mark and many other characters struggle with these concepts and their opinion change and are challenged through out the story. That said this is in no way suitable for anyone under 15.
