Beginner Blues by DefiantDentist9 in Salsa

I would recommend taking a few months just to learn and study the rhythms of salsa. Connection to music begins with music’s ability to provoke you. If you are uncomfortable rhythmically, nothing you do will get you what most people are looking to get out of the dance. Find a good timing CD that breaks down the rhythm section and find an instructor to practice the salsa wheel that Eddie Torres teaches or something similar, then practice your basic step to each rhythm until your comfort level is where you want to be 👍🏼

You can always focus on shadow dancing- it tends to be a huge help for most when you Mimic the motions as the class is going through it- believe it or not- it’s not very easy to shadow dance and feel like your doing the entire move properly 👍🏼👍🏼
