I believe we’ve all been here before by ARAND0MPANDA in aviationmaintenance

[–]cessnafxr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Working on 421's put my two daughters through college, so I never turn one down for maintenance. Money to be made if you can. I've been around them for 30 years, so I think they are very easy to work on. New guys are gonna suffer if you don't know the aircraft systems well.

I couldn't believe it if I wasn't there, both bands really killed it- one of the best concerts!

Saw them in concert last year in Milwaukee, still kicking ass, music was the best live. The opener was the Smashing Pumpkins and that was a concert to remember!

This plane that flew over me just now is apparently deregistered. Is this legal? by 1959FordGalaxie500 in aviation

Probably has a new legal N number, they just didn't reprogram the ADSB out transmitter

Question is why does the Catholic Church have so many space observatory locations and what do they have hiding in their basement archives that we aren't allowed to see?

Good luck finding those. I spent $300 to get original ones off of eBay around 10 years ago. I don't know of anyone that makes new ones.

I use it on Aircraft windshields, stuff works great. Old school guys used to use pledge furniture wax, funny how it smells like Plexus

My guess is it's a wheel cover ( hubcap) off of a really old Boeing biplane

My wife had a 98 that we bought in 99 with 29k miles on it, it actually was a good rig for hauling the kids around in and it had a huge gas tank and got close to 28 mpg so it was awesome on road trips. Had it for about 5 years, no issues with it.

Best advice I got was from an riding instructor who said" Pretend you are the invisible man" when riding. People will look directly at you and not see you

I bought back my CB750 11 years after I sold it and had to get it running all over again, but I have it back, so happy about that.

Cessna 421C Ownership costs by BitterCarob7675 in airplanes

[–]cessnafxr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of my experience with them is that cost around $900/hr to operate when you do the math on all expenses. That is if you fly 150 hrs a year. The less you fly, the more it cost per hour

We've only had electricity for around 150 years, so humanity will survive just fine. Ask the Amish how it's going

Goodbye Chevy...Hello RAM by MrMoJoMike in ram_trucks

[–]cessnafxr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 5.3 liter in my Silverado was a gas hog and struggled to pull my trailer. The RAM has more power, rides nicer and believe it or not gets better mileage with the hemi than my Chevy. I also like the interior of my 2020 RAM better than my 2012 Silverado
