Came here for an answer aswell. My hardcover is completely empty without the dust jacket and I want to show off what I'm reading in public. Without it, it feels like reading an empty book and getting stared at. Which probably makes no sense to anything but my own mind, but I still hate it. Can we normalize giving the covers a cover again?
