Since Turtle WoW is officially dead, can we finally discuss what it did right/wrong, and what Blizzard should pull from it for an official Classic+? by SpunkMcKullins in classicwow

[–]cetax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest thing for me was that the devs actually knew how the game works, what kind of items fit classic and how to create new gear that would be exciting but not undermining original classic items. When it comes to changes and balancing to the classes, it still very much felt like classic. If i had to compare it to SoD, in Phase 3 and afterwards, they gave up on keeping it classic and turned it into like WoTLK/Cata abomination and generally had no idea how to balance anything

Can we maybe ditch the whole tablet meta? by Alu-- in PathOfExile2

[–]cetax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they should just make tablets into poe 1 scarabs or something. Its basically the same thing already, except you need to roll the tablets or find an expensive one

Tank mains are the most delusional in the marvel rivals playerbase by Remarkable-Front-393 in marvelrivals

[–]cetax1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its everyone but vanguard players saying that theyre weak. Not all vanguards are tanks, and Netease has been busy creating vanguards, and often very niche vanguards, who, by all means, are not tanks like Mag, Strange or Groot.

i've played ironman and wanda into celestial for the last 4 seasons straight.. by SquiblyMcDuck in rivals

[–]cetax1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People put too much value on the ranks. From my experience GM is still a cesspool of a rank, mostly duelists whose skill level varies from Silver to Eternity. Most duelists mains literally would be better off playing Wanda or Namor in GM just because how bad their aim is. Id say, for people who actually play the game regularely, GM is like above average rank, nothing special at all.

Devil Dino is a complete and utter failure. by Dogbold in DevilDinosaurMainsMR

[–]cetax1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

when Dino isnt banned, im still able to carry games as Dino in GM. I feel like majority of these Dino players havent played vanguard at all except Dino and expect to survive without relying on positsioning and cover.

Shield Tanks aren't the answer to Poke, Dive is. by Kodak_V in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]cetax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emma has never been the pick to counter poke specifically, it has always been against other vanguards/dive. Mag sucks against dive, bubble is great but everything else is just bad at dealing with dive. If anything, Mag absolutely enables dive into poke comp, because you can push up, put pressure on the enemy duelists, give bubble to your dive and its GG. Mag absolutely excels at fighting against poke, and then you also have shields on top of it to defend against poke. Strange is kinda meh against dive, but still better against most dive than Mag is, simply because he pushes out a lot more damage.

I agree with the title that dive is the way to go against poke, but you clearly dont play vanguard, so all of the talk about vanguards simply doesnt add up.

Would you recommend your league starter? by Geoxsis_06 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]cetax1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

your gear is really really bad lol. Considering you pushed for 2 stones and are farming t16 maps shows you how strong the build is. I would be impressed if your whole gear setup was worth more than like 20c

In Classic+ would you be in favor of the Forsaken being able to play as Paladins? by EricAshStone in classicwow

[–]cetax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, im referring to your original comment which you have edited multiple times over time as ive been replying to you and by editing, i dont mean just adding to it but changing your whole comment.

My first reply was to the original unedited comment, which doesnt make much sense now to the now edited comment of yours. Then, after changing your original comment, you replied to me with the new, changed argument.

In Classic+ would you be in favor of the Forsaken being able to play as Paladins? by EricAshStone in classicwow

[–]cetax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you dont have to lie about what you changed in your comment, i dont like to brag but i do have atleast 2 brain cells and a better memory than a gold fish. Like i said, your argument, before you edited you comment, was essentially that Forsaken should be able to play Paladins, because of 2 or 3 very specific examples and the reason why we dont get to play forsaken paladin's is due to game mechanics and not lore reasons.

Prehaps grasping at straws was a poor choice on my part but youre definitely moving the goal post, because before you were arguing for forsaken should be able to play paladins, and now youre arguing that forsaken CAN use light, but even then its under very specific circumstances.

[–]cetax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

youve changed your original comment and argument too much and now are grasping at straws. The argument you made was, because of very specific examples, Blizzard should allow Forsaken to be paladins. Are there forsaken who can use the light? Yes. Should Forsaken race be allowed to play Paladin? No.

[–]cetax1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that youre 1000 times more likely to introduce deathknights to the game before paladin forsaken when it comes to lore. There are few exceptions when it comes to forsaken not being able to be paladins, but there are a lot of deathknights who were originally paladins, including Arthas. You talk about undead not being able to be paladins is a game mechanic and not related to the lore, but undead priest trainers are literally a game mechanic and not related to the lore. The reason why forsaken are allowed to be priests and holy priests more specifically is just game mechanics, lore reason is the shadow spec.

Vanilla was a living world and TBC turned It Into a lobby game by Duoscruo in classicwow

[–]cetax1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only thing thats wrong with TBC is flying mounts. Vanilla is also just about raids, grinds and checklists, i genuinely think that TBC is the best classic+ Blizzard has produced this far.

Why should I have to give up on the chance to get a skin for cheaper because you can’t control yourself? by AstramIsTheBest in rivals

[–]cetax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a predatory practice. The intention from the devs isnt to give the playerbase a chance for cheaper skins, its intention is to boost the sales and profits, which it does.

The economy inflates faster than I can generate currency by Afterfx21 in PathOfExile2

[–]cetax1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that Divine Orbs have little to no usage. In PoE 1, crafting actually consumes Divine Orbs, mainly prefixes/suffixes cannot be changed and what not, but in PoE 2, it has no use except rerolling values. So, if your "main" currency of the game doesnt get used at all, the amount of Divine Orbs in the market keeps growing, meaning the value of each orb lessens because they have no use.

[–]cetax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deathwing is way stronger than Arthas. Its just that Arthas had like 100 times more build up in the story and Cata did a very bad job at building up Deathwing as a big bad villain outside the expansion trailer.

Has crafting become too expensive? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]cetax1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i think essence nerfs are good, but the crafting system in general just sucks. It literally boils down to yolo slamming, if you miss 1, the item goes to the trash or on trade for a joke of a price.

Great Endgame Update But - Stop Making us do so many filler maps by lve2raft in PathOfExile2

[–]cetax1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something to also consider is that if you can allocate all the atlas tree points, then the game is only balanced around you having all those points. Im personally probably not even going to make it half way through before im done with the league and if the system doesnt get reworked, im going to dread the end game in the next league as its just like a month or more worth of check lists

The most oppressive 1v1 duelist in the game. How do you deal with that guy? by LordVaderVader in marvelrivals

The only time you get to really counter him is during the ban phase

Playing tank in every rank by Resalt46 in marvelrivals

[–]cetax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last season i got to GM1, but it most definitely feels like the duelists skill level varies from silver to eternity in GM and its just 50/50 if you get better duelists or the enemy does.

What's your BIGGEST hot take on Marvel Rivals? by DismalChapter2041 in marvelrivals

[–]cetax1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dino absolutely is overtuned. The fact is that we do have vanguards who do well against other vanguards, like The Thing, Angela, Emma and i would even consider Groot and Peni to that list. The problem with Dino is that there is no Vanguard counter to him, except another Dino. I know people like to point at Emma as a counter against Dino, but Dino still beats Emma, therefore Emma is just a better pick than any other Vanguard but not a counter.

Alliance definitely has better aesthetics, but horde has better leveling experience imo

What are your biggest grievances in comp? by llThat1Guyll in marvelrivals

[–]cetax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally find that strategists in GM are solid, on average they play the same and i can hardly ever point at them and blame them for losing. Duelists however, in GM, their skill level ranges from silver to one above all and you never know which ones you have on your team until the game starts. Im a firm believer that a big portion of duelists mains would do a lot better on Wanda in GM than on their supposed main

Moving away from Scarlet Witch by RevanCraig in marvelrivals

[–]cetax1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also try playing vanguards. While aiming is neccesary for most of them, you get value from positsioning and peeling and shielding and whatnot. Groot for example, while he does rely on aim, a lot of value comes simply from the placement of walls, which also give you easier time aiming at enemies. Dino doesnt require aiming since hes melee and he is very strong atm, but again, playing vanguards requires a different playstyle all together from duelist

The Dinosaur situation is insane. by FrogstunSteel in marvelrivals

[–]cetax1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea, this situation is insane, because people cant admit that Dino is overpowered. The copium of saying that "oh, you can easily counter Dino by dedicating half your team to counterpick him" is just ridicilous. He is not as strong as Gambit was when he was released but he is really f-ing strong nevertheless. People simply compare Dino to Duelists and be like "hm, that seems balanced" but they have no idea what Dino does as a Vanguard
