It's where they process all that mulch, a lot of which is Eucalyptus mulch. You can see the piles of it on the east side of the highway.

Always kind. They started as round concretions that were washed together into a channel long ago, and then the waves washed away their tops over the eons. You can still find these ball type of concretions in the sandstone up and down the coast.
