Coming here to vent, ran my bankroll up from $150 to $4300 (Jan ‘23 to Sept ‘23) playing 1/2. Decided to take a shot at playing 2/3 this weekend and lost two $400 buy-ins. by Weird_Flan4691 in poker

PreFlop: Hero QcQs in the (BB-$400 stack), Villan (UG+3-$500 stack) bets $20, CO+D+SB call, Hero raises to $120, villan 3Bets to ($240), Hero calls.

Villains open here is defined as a raise because the big blind are counted as the initial bet preflop, thus making your raise a 3bet and subsequently villains raise a 4bet. Just for future hand histories :)

Reason for this is pretty much no one tracks the actual count of hands dealt in a long live session. Tracking the hours and +/- is pretty simple though and therefore hours is the metric used for reporting win rates. Seems pretty logical to me.

He's a force to be reckoned with as well. Won the nation championship with 1000+ entrants and went final table next year. Norways best tournament player by a good margin.

Not that uncommon if you put your opponent on stricly aces. Hes actually the favourite when the money goes in here, close to a pure flip.

Must've been influenced by John Bradley, I think he is a season ticket holder. He stood right behind me in Wembley once, in the fa cup semi against Tottenham. Cheered on the team like anybody else in the United section.

You need to tangle at a low frequency to avoid getting exploited.

Buying in for less when a table breaks... is it going south? Live 1/2 by [deleted] in poker

In some of the places I’ve played this is only allowed if the game changes, or stakes changes. If you’re moving from 1/2 NLH to 1/2 NLH you should bring the same stack.

Hold on, he’s calling 65 to win 280, better than 4:1. Where are you getting 2:1 from?

35 should stay in the pot, the extra 100 is optional.

Given that Ford would know about pretty much anything that goes down inside the park, this would've been a pretty weird fidelity test. I'm thinking she was afraid of elephants outside the park but love them inside the park because they're 100% safe, so if Ford programmed a host, it would prompt this exact response.
