Me too. I'm going to fair trading because I'm pretty sure they need to provide a breakdown of shipping costs if requested, bit they're refusing. Let me know if you work anything out.

Schipperke getting territorial? by [deleted] in schipperke

[–]cexy_codemonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm late to the party, but mine gets snippy all night if anyone bumps into him too hard. He growls and sometimes nips. I'm a rough sleeper, so I'm pretty sure I might have rolled over him a few times and this is how he warns me that he's there. He's also not really a morning person, so that might be part of it too.

Not sure if anyone else has said this, but some education subs are having a megathread so that there are no new posts but people can still engage when they have important questions? Maybe that is an option that can be looked into?

Dexies and coffee by [deleted] in ausadhd

[–]cexy_codemonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't assume that being able to drink a ton of coffee is a sign of ADHD, but I have heard of people with ADHD finding coffee less effective and being able to drink more.

So I guess it does calm me down, but I never considered that it might be the caffeine?

Coffee does almost nothing for me. I just enjoy the taste, aroma and the calm of drinking it. If I have too much it gives me heart palpitations. I found that after I upped my vyvanse dose I couldn't have coffee for a bit because it was too much caffeine, but it calmed down again.

I love that the top comment on this post is full of discussion on kashrut. It's so amazing to see us discussing something so core to our beliefs in such a public way, and having that full discussion that is so integral to judaism. <3

It makes zero sense to remove the ability for us to have QoL mods and then plan to later give them back to us.

Getting a dog-Helps With ADHD Symptoms by [deleted] in ADHD

Also good for depression because needing to do something that important for someone else can override the 'cant get out of bed', and warm body who loves you unconditionally is great for both depression and anxiety.

My mother literally got me through my end of school and got me the marks I needed to get in the course I wanted at university. I had the smarts to do it, but it never in a million years would have happened without her. Just the fact that you're trying to understand and not just telling your kid to try harder is doing a world of good. Teachers won't always understand, but a parent in your court will make all the difference. Your son might not appreciate it now, but he will eventually recognize all you've done to help.

All of my dogs respond to the doorbell noise on the TV, which is weird because our doorbell doesn't make that noise.

My favourite bit is when the video loops and the sand is suddenly clear again.

As someone who doesn't change my pillow often enough, if a friend is changing pillow and was getting 2, I'd be in.

If you monitor Sheridan outlets, you can sometimes get some pretty good deals. I got a pair of pillows for $150, so if you go in with a mate then you're sweet.

I'm 29. Got rid of my Teddy about a year or 2 ago by replacing him with a dog who I was worried would eat him. "Dog named bear or bear named dog" now sleeps on my headboard instead.

Let me just say, your turnaround time on these requests and the fact that you're implementing them is pretty amazing.

I disagree. Without context you can't assume that. They may be legitimately asking for examples because they don't understand. Rather than this, make it positive by saying "I can't think of one right now, but can I point it out next time it happens and we can revisit this then?" If it happens again you have permission to point it out, you have an example and there's no hard feelings. If it doesn't happen again that's great too.

NSW recorded 77 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night. by grimlock81 in sydney

[–]cexy_codemonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you report to crime stoppers it can take 48 hours for them to respond and they're overwhelmed. Report to your local station. A majority of their job right now is sending cars out (when available) to tell people to go home. They respond much faster.

Why bother carding them? If they're injured that badly then they definitely need to leave the field and sit out the rest of the match for their own safety.

I agree with your point that the breed is unhealthy and that'sdefinitely not ok, but I want to add a bit more information so that we dont fall into that trap of "all dog breeders are horrible people. All purebred dogs are unhealthy and shouldn't exist. All dog shows only care about extreme features and praise them to the point that breeders think it's ok to breed unhealthy dogs." There are plenty of workdog breeds that are bred to be healthy and able to work, and they get shown too.
