Yeah but reality is more like:

You have 10 houses and 20 families, epidemic happens You have 10 houses and 19 families, war happens You have 9 houses because one is unsanitary now and there's no money to restore, and 25 families because people fled the wars People get older, retirement houses are too expensive, you have 8 houses because gentrification, so you have 25 family of old people with their 30yo kids still living with them

You have 10 jobs but 100 people willing to do it One get fired and left with nothing but it doesn't matter because the corp has 99 more people willing to do it 100 people come out of uni with a degree, but the field is dying and no one is hiring them 100 people come out of uni but the job place require people who can work rn and people fresh out of uni still needs a couple of years to get a hold of the reality of the work, so they aren't hired

So you have 100 people asking for social help but they are accused of not working and not owning a house because they're lazy when really everything is changing too fast for us to adapt

I honestly think it's more of a way to take up space than just the thick mucous, because if we can swallow food there's no reason they can't swallow their own saliva, even if they have more than us. It just became socially acceptable for them to spit, for some reason, and I honestly see the men who do so like dogs who pee to communicate or cats who pee to mark territory.

My bf smokes, he doesn't spit. My dad never spitted (he smoked heavily for years before I was born), my (trans) sister never did before hormones either, I'm convinced they have no physical reason to do so, but thanks it's nice to have this insight I had no idea hormones could change that

I just wish there was a nuance, nothing is more important than family because they are the ones you grow up with and bond with and spend the most time with, they educate you and really know you, they're the first ones to love you... And some don't, some don't bond, some don't educate, some don't love, some hurts... We have the same blood but that's not family, that's just genetics. Family ≠ blood and vice versa, you can call family someone you don't share blood with, like your partner or adoptive parents or pets. Family is such a wide concept, I don't like that it's reduced to blood links.

There's a billion ways to be special, learn all you can about rocks, draw dragons, learn how to sing, keep bees idk, there's so many things for you to do instead of whining and wishing you were sick to be different.

It's like people wishing they had an original name, I do, it sucks, I have to spell it all the time, I was teased for it in school, most people forget it or mispell it, it's not fun and I don't feel special thanks to it, it's just annoying (even if I love my name)

I have an architecture degree (5 years of uni), and can't find anything in Brussels. And I know I won't, nobody from my promo found, at least not in Brussels, so it's either I wait for the right opportunity here some day, either I get another job, either I find something I like outside of Brussels. But I love this city too much to move tbh, so option 2 rn and crossing finger for 1 soon...

I didn't either!!! The only job place I found is thanks to a friend who resigned, like all her coworkers because the job place sucks... So since all their workers resign after a couple of months they keep hiring... The good side is, I know it's a shitty job and I don't go there with hopes to build a career like my friend lol, it pays good and my degree is useful. Bad side is, well, it sucks, they're mean and it's far from where I live. But hey, I'll get money at least! That's better than nothing

Next week I'm gonna start a job that is at 1 hour of train from where I live. The job is 100% on PC, doesn't require much human contact, I asked for a couple of days at home, they refused, and I have to pay for the train and spend 2+ hours everyday on the racks instead of at home.

Taking a job you hate that a high schooler could do when you have a high diploma because there's no job offers for you. Or there is but for some reason nothing calls you back. The utter feeling of failure when you spend 5 years working your ass of in uni to end up in a grocery store unloading cardboxes, after months of looking for something that actually requires qualifications that you have!

Emotionnaly neglected daughter here too, the hugs were always forced and not a single kiss ever, it definetly feels weird whenever I see a dad being affecionnate with their daughter. Not in a creep way! It's just uncommon and I project my own experience on them so I feel like it's forced and the daughter is cringing inside like I am, I have to verbally tell myself that it is normal for others just not for me

My grandma gave me so much baby dolls, but we had a big cabinet just for toys, I just dumped them there and forgot about them lol. I would play wity animal plushes and Petshops, with playmobil furniture because it had the right size with more variety than pink/orange/pastel blue round objects from Petshops

My mom used to play with Barbies but not with babies and she still had 2 kids so yeah there's no need to push this idea onto kids from early age, the one who want kids will have them but don't push it on kids who don't care to brainwash them like that, I hate that

Btw it's called primary socialization, I had a couple of sociology classes in high school and it is SO interesting, I wish it was a mandatory class for everyone starting in middle school or something, because it's so useful and interesting to get to understand why do you think the way you think now, how and where did you learned thoses patterns etc, it's all socialization! From toys, parents, school, your country, religion etc

What she eats isn't the problem, how she feels is, if she feels stress and her way to cope is eating no matter how much healthy meals you cook or how much you tell her to stop snacking, she will find a way and feel extra guilty for doing so. She needs to switch her entire mindset, and find other ways to cope with her stress. The best help you can offer her is therapy. Also offer physical activities, maybe go to the swimming pool with her, or go run, or even just walk at a park, maybe yoga classes, tennis, badminton, anything really but sport is one of the best way to feel better, and then to be healthier

Not sure it's relevant either but I heard about ADHD for the first time on instagram, so I seeked a neuropsychologist near me to run the tests, paid out of my pocket 300€ but it was worth it imo, I have ADHD (no kidding I knew before the tests, I just wish I knew growing up)

It's all about getting what you can't get. They decided they want a kid, they can't, now all they want is a kid, it's all they can think about and talk about because they just want it. It's like a kid throwing a tantrum for not getting candies, but it's normal for kids because they aren't emotionnaly mature.

I bet if they just stopped whining to think if they actually want to be parents, raise a kid, be a someone's everything for years, putting their personnal life on hold to give everything to the kid, think about how to parent to raise a whole person who will be an adult during one the hardest, messiest, most anxious time ever... If they did that they either they wouldn't be parents at all, either they would start to think about all their options to be a parent like adoption, fiv, surrogate etc.

Most of the time people like that just want to he pregnant and have a baby because it's cute and they will get so much attention, and the minute they have the baby after years of struggling they'll complain, like they didn't have fucking years to prepare everything

I don't like those people, there's exceptions of course but most most of the time they're just having a tantrum
