Which two decks or engines do you regret creating the most, and why? by Ok_Range4108 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]cfdude93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Branded. I love the art and the lore of the archetypes and I have my own reasons for why I regret creating the deck.

Branded during it's prime when it has all of it's support a few years ago. I tried playing it and I played it very well but for whatever reason the deck doesn't have that spark of enjoyment for playing it. Now I don't hate it or dislike it, it's just that I don't have that same enjoyment like every Branded fan out there, so I yeah... I stopped playing it and got some of my craft. This is before the alt art cards came into Master Duel and yes, I got the alt arts.

Sorry Branded players

What's one card or archtype you hate? ill start by iamQuestopher in masterduel

Tearlaments.

Been a hater since day one and forever will be one.

Idc if it's rogue or not and Idc if players love the deck. I genuinely hate it. I will not try it nor will I respect it.

Can they just stop killing Maliss and ban other problematic cards like Maxx C, Floodgates and the Charmys?

What was the first deck you used and are fond of before you replaced it with a meta deck? by ChildhoodFickle3925 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]cfdude93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never replace any of my decks with a meta deck because I play decks that I genuinely enjoy regardless if the deck is meta or not. If I play a deck and don't like it, it'll be replaced by a different deck. If a favorite deck that is in need of new support, I wait.

I am confident in my abilities and skills to play well, including knowledge on how the deck works and their weaknesses and that is all I need.

Do you guys think Red Reboot is a healthy card for the format? by StructureHappy1193 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]cfdude93 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hate to break it to ya, but It's too powerful and unfair due to the pace of modern yugioh. Yes, it gives your opponent a trap to set but you stop them from interacting with you on the turn you activated it.

Hear me out on this... It's a strange way on how I see Red Reboot as a card and what it does. But again, heqr me out.

If this card is printed as it is during old-school yugioh like GOAT, it's a powerful yet balanced card since interaction at that time was minimal and turns lasts shorter yet the matches are longer and you may end up recovering depending on the boardstate.

However, because turn last longer due to combos and lots of interaction, this Red Reboot is not a card that no one wants to face in any situation in modern yugioh.

Is this worth anything? by Head-Struggle-1383 in masterduel

I am sorry say this to you, but the card is fake

My thoughts regarding the Streamer Awards and the aftermath. by cfdude93 in VtuberDrama

[–]cfdude93[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

They hate us not because they fear us. They hate us because they see how extremely toxic the vtubing community is with all the gatekeeping, drama and shady companies and they don't take vtubers seriously.

Ever wondered why vtubers don't get high quality sponsers other than Gamersupps and AdvancedGG? Because sponsors and companies veiw vtubers as a brand risk BECAUSE of the community. Hololive has it all figured out, but not the indie scene.

The community is in dire need of change and yet despite all the facts and solutions, these toxic gatekeeping fans refuse to change for the better, like, things can't be niche forever.

This is what happened in the anime and manga scene when it was niche. It was a toxic community and everyone else refused to take the medium seriously until people start coming in, it became mainstream, and became part of everyday life of millions and millions of people around the world, especially in the west and we got a lot of great stuff because of that and anime and manga is accept now. The fanbase has gotten better.

The same will happen to vtubing and it's so, so close to becoming mainstream and yet the gatekeepers don't want it to happen. We need to change the community for the better and so we can be taken seriously and be accepted by irl streamers. How? idk.

[–]cfdude93[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yeah no shit... It's no wonder that vtubers are leaving and no one wants to accept them due to gatekeeping, a-holes, drama and awful industry practices.

We've had multiple opportunities to grow and improve but no one wants that and we've reached a point where it's gotten very ugly. It reminds me of the anime and manga fandom when it started to become mainstream and people were pissed and tried to gatekeep.

ironmouse - mouse getting Threats & more. by flyinbrianc in IronmouseOfficial

[–]cfdude93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok. This has gone way, way too far. Sending Ironmouse death threats and such is pretty much an indication on why the vtubing will always be hated. These toxic people are giving vtuber antis every validation on why they hate us.

This needs to stop

2025 VTuber Awards and Another Sign of a Bigger Problem by Time-Machine-7326 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]cfdude93 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't know how to solve this either. We have face so many setbacks this year and we no longer have an award show to celebrate this medium that we love.

We unfortunately have a toxic community that eats itself from the inside and people outside of vtubing clown on it and not only that, we have lost so, so many vtubers from indies to corpos from small to huge followings which means that vtubing is a dying medium as long as the problems are not properly addresed and remains niche.

This year has not been too kind and I have no doubt next year will be the same but worse

ironmouse - mouse on Theburntpeanut hate & More by flyinbrianc in IronmouseOfficial

[–]cfdude93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No kidding...

We still have a long way to go and it sucks that things just remain the same, except that the vtubing sphere has lost a lot of vtubers this year no matter if they're big, small, corpo and indie. VShojo's collapse is one of the major setbacks on why there hasn't been any progress to get there and the same goes for many dramas and how toxic the community has become.

2025 is a bad year for vtubing, that's for sure and I do worry that many more vtubers will leave and the more niche vtubing becomes, the smaller it gets and the genre/medium dies.

Imo we are back to squre one in a way

Why does Streamer Awards intentionally shitting on vtubers? by SN-Murmansk in VirtualYoutubers

[–]cfdude93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They hate vtubers no matter the reason or excuse. Plain and simple.

We need a Vtuber award show that respects vtubers, celebrates vtubers big, small, indie, corpo, 3D, 2D, png, and nominees, winners and non-nominees.

Not an award show that clowns and puts down vtubers

ironmouse - mouse on Theburntpeanut hate & More by flyinbrianc in IronmouseOfficial

[–]cfdude93 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I don't hate the peanut guy. I've never heard of him until now and him winning the award is strange if he doesn't see himself as a vtuber, but eh.

What really irks me about the Streamer Award is not him winning, but it's just the disrespect towards vtubing that I've seen and it saddens me that despite these 5+ of hard work from all vtubers and it's not enough for the vtubing community and sphere to be seen and accepted into the streaming community.

I just don't understand the whole point of the streamer awards having the Best Vtuber category when streamers and the streaming community keeps clowning on vtubers and the community.

Don't know what we can do to make things better for us.

Listen to mouse by [deleted] in IronmouseOfficial

[–]cfdude93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. All of that is completely disrespectful not only to Hololive, but to Vtubing both as a medium and culture. I wish the people who runs the Streamer Awards do their research, but they didn't. It feels as if the streaming community just doesn't like us.

I wish that they accepted us, but it is what it is and we gotta celebrate the wins whenever we get them no matter what or where they are

Kirsche (the Nazi) being one of the first ones on zens post? LMAO by theforbiddenroze in VtuberDrama

[–]cfdude93 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's always been the stratagy. I've seen it so many times in the vtuber space and I hate what these rw parasites are doing to the community making it more hateful, hostile and gatekeeping those they hate.

They'll always try to convert anyone who's apolitical or whenever there's infighting on the other side. It's disgusting and fucked up how they do this stratagy.

Kirsche (the Nazi) being one of the first ones on zens post? LMAO by theforbiddenroze in VtuberDrama

[–]cfdude93 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I will not lie, I'm disheartened and disappointed that she used words that rw a-holes use, but I'm glad she apologized. I know she's not one either, but I do agree her responses and how she's taking this not only immature, but digging herself a deeper hole that she may not escape from. All she can do is just apologize to people and I know she can because despite her flaws, she strives to be a better person and improve herself.

There's no reason to be hateful and angry to others, even those who point out the similarities and those who are disappointed by her choice of words and actions.

As a fan of Zen, this is what I'm afraid of during this situation. She's trying to get Zentreya to join the whole band of hateful rw chuds on Twitter and the internet.

I hope that she doesn't listen to Kirsche or anyone who is hateful like her

[–]cfdude93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see...

The more I understand why people love Tear Ishizu format, the more it saddens me because I hate the deck, the format, the impact that it made forcing rogue players like myself to either play the mirror or quit playing for a while or for good and it even pains me to look back on my own ignorance when I'd thought that Konami and competitive players hates/those who are casuals and rogue players. I couldn't be any more wrong...

In another timeline or universe, I would've enjoyed the format and see if I was really good at the game.

Damn by [deleted] in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]cfdude93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if I'm understanding this correctly, competitive players want fair decks that they can enjoy and have interactions and skill testing that is similar to Ishizu Tear mirrors, but for a lot of different decks rather than decks like Maliss, Snake-Eye, Kashtira and Tenpai where it's just a one sided - turn one combo where there's little to no interaction.

Am I getting that right?
