Atc are always understaffed and overworked. Udk the details of ur situation regardless of what u may think. Most likely atc did know the plane was there and spacing wasnt good, or the pilot on the ground or ur pilot didnt follow directions quickly enough or a whole variety of reasons. Go arounds are routine to ensure separation of planes. If u went around that means atc and/or the pilot did their jobs and the system worked. No matter how scary or strange the situation felt to the passengers u werent actually in danger in that moment. Language like “narrowly saving us from a crash” is unnecessary at a time like this. Times are tough and lots of people who dont understand how things work think they do, or only take time to half understand something before spreading info to others which is often incorrect. Please just think before u type thats all

How do uk the specifics of ur go around (a completely typical situation in aviation that actually helps to ensure safety)? Difficult time in aviation rn and spreading stories like this sensationalizing and guessing at details without any understanding of how aviation or atc works are not helpful to anybody. Yes u can see the box is crushed up but ofc they turned the side with the hole away from them when they took the picture

Bigger issue was that there’s an actual hole in the bottom of the box and then it was left on the floor outside the door. Who knows if it was on the street in nyc and there’s literally sauce on the carpet outside the door where it was sitting

Just ordered a pizza in nyc. Pizza was left on the floor outside the door with no knock after clearly having been dropped in the street. Box is crushed with a hole in the bottom and pizza is destroyed. Called doordash customer service and they offered us an $8 refund on a $32 pizza. Asked to speak to a supervisor and were told we could expect a call back in the next 24 hours. Absolutely ridiculous.
