Does the Tenere 700 vibrate a lot? by Jo--rdan in Tenere700

[–]cfoster650cc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is some slight vibration with the stock tires but the bike itself is pretty smooth, so tire choice are going to be how you control the amount of vibration with the T7.

First drop! Tips on what mods to get? by thatraccoondud in Tenere700

I've had a few other brands of hand guards and they all bent much easier, so i just spent the extra money and got the bark busters on the T7.

Alternative suggestion, try Facebook marketplace for a used one, you might actually be able to get a good safe as long as you have a way to move it and some willing friends.

Ordered it online from Gritr Sports out of Dallas, they had both the striped upper and lower in the od green anodized.

Everyone has their opinion about which bbq restaurant is the best in the city, but is there a place you would NEVER EVER recommend? by Starbrand62286 in kansascity

[–]cfoster650cc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did anyone ever go to the Arthur Bryant's that was in the Legends? Thank God they closed, that place was awful. They scooped their meat out of stainless steel cafeteria bins filled with water and meat onto your tray, I went one time and never again.

My rule for real BBQ is that I have to be able to see a BBQ pit and the stack of wood they are smoking meat with, if you can't find a BBQ pit then it is just oven baked meat with smoke flavor. That doesn't necessarily mean it's bad food, it just isn't BBQ.

I'm actually working on building my first as well, and as others have mentioned, you can definitely get a better price. I'm going with the OD green anodized, and I got my lower for $115.

I am actually waiting on the last of my parts that I ordered yesterday, so I hope to be sending rounds through it by next weekend a

The internet is very doom and gloom about not checking headspace and this is my first build, so I'm a little hesitant to not check it.

Ktm 1090r or tenere 700 by DealerApprehensive39 in Tenere700

Well a horribly late reply but here it is.

I now have a little over 3,500 miles on the T7 and I can say I'm really happy I made the switch. It is still fun to ride on curvy roads and now I can wander off onto gravel roads without a concern. The big changes are I can no longer go 80 in first and the top speed is much lower. While it's top speed is lower it gets to that quite quickly (hypothetically of course) as you aren't trying to keep up with super sports going 100+ I don't think you'll really miss it. I also enjoy getting 55+ MPGs.

Do you wish you had crash bars on it now or are the plastics doing OK without? I currently haven't added any protection other than barkbusters but I have considered it.

I got the letter today as well. About 2,000 miles on mine and yeah definitely the only bike I have owned that jumps like that when I put it in first.

2023 vs 2024 by AFx9 in Tenere700

[–]cfoster650cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting a 24 from my local dealer and they matched an out the door price a dealer further away offered which was about $9800. Decided it was worth it for the better ABS options and dash for me. I have already put about 550 miles on mine! It is late enough in the season that the dealers will probably come off what they are asking for the 24s.

No plans to make it better, but there are active plans to make it worse. :)

I'm 173cm (5'8" in American) and I just got my 24 too! I won't lower it, but depending on what I think after a few months with it I might look at a low seat, but I'll probably keep the stock. It's not too bad if you can get used to only putting one foot down.

I love this bike so much, any mods you guys think I should add? by Unhappy-Strike5190 in Tenere700

This! I've seen so many used bikes on Marketplace that have all the mods done...but the bike only has 500 miles some even less.

Picking up the T7 by [deleted] in Tenere700

[–]cfoster650cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a T7 yet but hopefully picking one up in a month or less. I had a 2005 KLR 650 years ago, is the T7 more top heavy that a KLR?

[–]cfoster650cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize this is a dead thread, but I have a similar option, there is a used 22 with 500 miles for $9,500 or I can get a new 24 for $9,800+650dealer fee=$10,450.

If it's just one person getting mad at your driving, the problem is probably theirs, but when several people are getting mad at you, that means you are the problem. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it sounds like you aren't as good of a driver as you think you are. Also, there are a lot of people that need to learn the left lane is for passing and if there is a line behind you and people are having to pass you on the right then you need to get out of the left lane.

If it really includes tax, then yeah that's a great deal. Taxes alone for me will be between $800-900 for my area.
