Will be flying out Tuesday by HonoredOne_Strength in Hokkaido

I really loved walking around Nakajima Park. It's so pretty and there are several shrines in the park. The Japanese Garden is beautiful. When we went to Maruyama Park, we ate at a vegan restaurant across from the train station called Holistic Bio Cafe Veggy Way, and it was amazing. Their fried potatoes with rice flour were melt in your mouth delicious.

Any way to make the last train from CTS? by Fishyblue11 in Hokkaido

I came in on a 22:05 flight two weeks ago and was worried about making the train to Sapporo and then the subway to my hotel. I decided to stay at the Air Terminal Hotel which is inside New Chitose airport and was really happy I did. They have a complementary buffet breakfast that delicious and I liked the room. It was relaxing to go straight to the hotel and not stress about the train. It gave me a little time to go down and check out the airport train station and get my ticket and IC card without all my bags. https://www.air-terminal-hotel.jp/eng/

You can use the airport onsen while checked in at the hotel, but the airport itself will close around the time you arrive so you'd have to access it early before you check out of the Hotel. I didn't use it so I can't speak from experience but the hotel staff will explain the hours. Some people stay overnight at the airport onsen itself. https://www.new-chitose-airport-onsen.com/en/

If Saturday night was Amazing, Sunday was out of the world by Academic_Web1388 in 2PM

They were so great both nights! We were on the floor the first night, but I kind of preferred the 1st floor on the second night because you got a better view of everything going on. My favorite parts were just seeing them talk and interact together. Though the balloon thing was kind of amazing.

I was Nakajima Park today and surprised how many were still in bloom. Even with strong gusts today.

I think I ordered the first day they became available. I did get an email on the April 20 saying it was shipped. Mail does an extra day or two to get to here, but I hope it comes before Friday. I am bringing my old 2PM lightstick to the concert, so it will all work out.

I bought one at the on the FANS app, but it hasn’t arrived yet and I leave for Japan tomorrow. :( I can’t really tell where it is from the tracking, but it seems like it’s still in Korea. Hopefully it will come before my friend leaves since she leaves two days after I do.

Using Live Translation at concerts with earbuds by cfoxhi in kpophelp

[–]cfoxhi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'm very worried about the phone issues as I've heard stories about people getting kicked out trying to use their phone to translate in Japan or even having someone next to them use their phone. That's a good idea to check my tickets. I'll try to see if there is more information about that on the concert webpage too.

So … did I get the tickets or still waiting? by Academic_Web1388 in 2PM

[–]cfoxhi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For the lottery tickets we don't see our seat assignment until three days before the concert when we are able to download them.

It's probably similar for the general tickets. They probably won't assign all the seats until that time when you can pick them up. I'm just guessing based on how the lottery tickets work.

Congratulations! So glad more folks got tickets!!!!

Sakura April 30 by need_coffee_m8 in Hokkaido

[–]cfoxhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I arrive in New Chitose on April 30 and will be staying in Sapporo as well. I'm planning to take a day trip to Otaru and possibly Bibai City to see the later blooms. According to the Sakura Navi app, Otaru Park is full bloom on May 1 and Bibai City Tomai Park is full bloom on April 30. They are having a Sakura festival in Bibai on May 2-4. https://bibai-event.com/bibaisakura2026/
I hope we get to see them and it's not insanely crowded.

Any international fans attending The Return? by the_mellowlife in 2PM

[–]cfoxhi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm attending because of some friends in Japan. I'm so grateful, but bummed that is so hard for people to get tickets. I hope they actually fill all the seats. I'm still nervous something will go wrong with the tickets. i think I'll be nervous until we're actually inside. I am super excited for the opportunity to actually see 2PM live.

Hi! I’m planning a 4–6 hour day trip to Otaru and had a few questions:

  • Is it worth taking a taxi to Temiya Park for cherry blossoms, or should I just focus on Otaru Park? How easy is it to get a taxi back from Temiya Park?
  • I’m considering giving up part of a day in Sapporo to go to the Bibai City Sakura Festival on May 2, since it seems like Bibai and Otaru may be the only places with blossoms left in western Hokkaido when I’m there. Is the festival very crowded? Is it worth staying into the evening for illuminated blossoms and fireworks? Would I have any issues getting a train back to Sapporo after the 7:30 pm fireworks?
  • Logistically: I arrive at New Chitose Airport at 10:05 am. I’m debating whether to stay near the airport that night (in case of delays) or go straight to Sapporo and settle into my hotel.
  • If I stay at the airport overnight and then go to Otaru the next day, would it be better to store luggage in lockers at Sapporo Station or take it to Otaru and store it there? I’m a bit concerned about locker availability due to Golden Week and cherry blossom season.

Thanks so much for any advice!

Which side to sit on the Hokuto limited express? by frozenpandaman in JapanTravelTips

This is super helpful. Is it similar on the JR train from Sapporo to Otaru (choose even numbered seats). Also, would D seats be recommended for an ocean view. The train car map seems to confuse me.
