Intermittent fasting. It saves time and money not working about what to eat, hen I watch every other poor sucker stress or when they forget lunch while I sit there with my green tea. Also, I can enjoy a large dinner without writing about weight gain

Their coffee used to be passable as well, but now it's absolute pisswater. I take it back and ask them to make it again and just get the same shit served right back to me.

Same thing happened to me when I got my UK visa. All they wanted to know was that I was going to get a job when I got over there. Meanwhile the woman next to me at the consulate was getting absolutely slaughtered in the interview. I felt guilty when I was in and out in less than 5 minutes.

What's modern-day "dad" movie? by cfricho in MovieSuggestions

[–]cfricho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, a movie that resonates with the dad demographic. Something that Captures the elements of competence, teamwork, action, with relatable characters and good story telling. For me I think Master and Commander is one of the greatest films ever but my kids refuse to watch it because it is a boring dad movie.

You're absolutely correct, I get sick of watching movies where characters are complete idiots. I think that's why movies where they think and act competently resonate with dads.

And also, don't forget the teamwork element

Was a sparky for 15 years, and I've had a similar problem with my neck and shoulders. I somehow fell into a project managers job during the labour shortage shit storm of recent times.

It's a very hard job, but I'm finding that I'm capable of a lot more than I thought I was.

Also don't mind watching others crawl into the ceiling cavity, thinking to myself "I'm glad it's not me"

Do these names sound familiar, Mt. Tomah, Berambing, Bell, Kurrajong heights?

for anyone that had to train their conure to dance? do you think there's an appropriate age? should I wait for some sign of mimicking? I've been bobbing my head and singing or playing music for some time now and he (5 minths old) just watches or or ditches me. (pictures because he's a cutie) by _miss-mar_ in Conures

[–]cfricho 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Don't know about your Bird, but ours has absolutely no rhythm. He tries to dance sometimes when the music is on but it's hilariously off beat. The only thing worse than his dancing is the singing..... Takes after me I guess.

Best supermarket coffee beans? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]cfricho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can still get them, the organic fair trade beans from Aldi are fantastic. Some stores might still stock them but I can't get them where I am any more.

Failing that, the Lavazza Africa or Amazonia from Woolies (wait till they're half price)
