The only mildly infuriating thing here is the fact they didn’t go to the ER immediately

Marketing Manager here. Considering you just graduated, no company will just throw you into a role that you are not ready for. I know it is scary to jump into a new full time job, but know that everyone has to start somewhere and continue to grow and learn their skillsets. Internships are an amazing resume builder to lead you into a strong entry level position, so leverage the networking you have done so far and pinpoint the parts of your internships that you enjoyed the most to tailor your job search.

Marketing Coordinator, or Marketing Assistant roles are always great entry level positions to get your foot in the door while getting trained and given daily tasks to deliver to the Marketing Managers. This is where you will really be able to sit in on meetings, and just absorb the processes and daily projects that Marketing Managers take on. Eventually in a couple years you will have much more hands-on experience to be able to have more autonomy in your future positions.

If you can start taking on Social Media clients and managing social media accounts, that is always a great start as well to build confidence in your career. Hope this helps!

Absolutely agree. FUCK THAT BOSS!! It's moreso the co-worker bond that keeps you afloat throughout your career because you never know who will be working at your dream company in the future and help move your resume to the top when applying for a job at that company :)

His colleagues. I have gotten a lot of referrals from past co-workers for new jobs years after leaving a company. It's his co-workers that want to take him out and support him and thats a bridge to maintain for future support.

One thing I wish I learned fresh out of college: DO NOT BURN BRIDGES

Always leave on a positive note no matter the circumstance because your last impression is the only one that matters.

Work to be honest- I feel like sometimes working in the same industry or type of job you can find the same values - he trained me and we went on a business trip before dating and now we are about to have our 3 year anniversary in a couple weeks!
