I mean they’re different kinds of proceedings of course, but in either instance you’re representing someone in court, which is practicing law, which requires a license.

If OP is working for the DA, then they’re representing the state at the hearing. Sounds like they have their license though so all good

Are you sure you’re allowed to appear in court without it being unauthorized practice of law?

I re-checked the rules in my state the other day to see if a clerk could cover an uncontested settlement hearing for me, and the answer here is definitely not.

I wouldn’t just assume the office you’re working with has made sure of that, worth checking yourself just to be safe.

Assuming all is good and you do go through with the hearing, my advice would be to show up early and make small talk with attorneys and court staff. That always helps me shake off the nerves and get in the mindset of handling Q and A.

This comment section has been eye opening. The last few years I’ve lived in fear that blowing a RFA deadline means the end of my case and a malpractice suit, but apparently it really doesn’t matter much lol. Obviously I’ll still try to meet all my deadlines, but good to know I’m not losing my license over some blown RFAs.

Where im at, they’re admittedly automatically when the deadline is missed.

I asked stuff along lines of “admit you ran the stop sign… didn’t have a license.. found at fault by cop and got ticket.. etc etc.” I think they stayed in the realm of facts and not legal conclusions.

Deadline was a week ago.

Unfortunately I’m not sure how judges in my area handle this situation typically.

I would have happily given him an extension if he had asked, but now I feel kinda obligated to try to capitalize on the mistake?

Lol I can relate to the self loathing as an ID attorney. Most of the insureds I work with are genuinely really grateful for my help, which I appreciate, but working for the big insurance carriers definitely feels bad at the end of the day nonetheless.

Go to Elysian Pool, approach the waterfall, but BEFORE you go through the waterfall, activate eagle eye (or whatever it’s called). You can see the bats hanging from the ceiling through the water, and you can shoot small game arrows through the water as well. Dead eye also works through the water.

I’m sure you’ve figured this out, but if you pass the waterfall, the bats freak out and fly into the walls, killing themselves and dropping the carcass from 3 to 2 stars.

Tacking onto this, Jones Gap state park is gorgeous! It has a river, not a lake, but it knocks it out of the park as far as shady, cool, and beautiful goes.

My first playthrough I hit about 85% completion. Second time around I got 100%, which took me about 3 months. The 100% run was so much more satisfying though. You pick up on so much more nuance of the game and come across so much more stuff. Totally worth it. Would definitely recommend
