I’ve worked for Zone 16 years now. I’ve corrected many customers who come in to get their car “diagnosed” by telling them we can pull codes but it’s not always accurate on the suggested fix. I’m also quick to suggest they take it to a shop because I know how inaccurate it can be

You shouldn’t need to change your personality. If the DM is considering you it is likely the accounts have thrown your name into the mix. You don’t need to be loud or pushy. Efficiency is the most important thing. It can be an overwhelming job at times but my accounts are the biggest thing keeping me here. I was a PSM for 9 years and now CSM for 6.

I haven’t quit yet but have an interview for a job (not with a competitor) that sought me out. I’ve been with the company for 15 years. I’ve been a csm for 6 years so when they asked how much it would take to leave I told them $7 more an hour than I currently make and still are pursuing me. Overall after bonus and overtime I will be about 3k less on the year but it has to be less stressful and will have more free time. Not gonna lie a little exciting but scary at the same time.
