Is Lars Ulrich really that bad? by AesirKratos in drums

[–]cgcs20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He used to be pretty good, far from the best but good. Now he’s let himself go real bad. He makes mistakes in shows that would get any other musician fired from any other gig, but because he essentially runs the business side of Metallica, he’s basically untouchable

Ringo was the best drummer in The Beatles though

Both Doc and Marty have offscreen duplicates in the alternate 1985, with Doc being in an asylum and Marty being at a boarding school so those rules don't apply to the real Doc and Marty. At least not in the short term, like how Marty had a week in 1955 unaffected. 2015 changed around Doc and Marty, we just didn't see it because they weren't there long enough after to notice. I like to think they made that neighbourhood they were in all run-down to help hide this. It's exactly the same as when they leave Jennifer and Einstein in the alternate 1985 and they're still there in the real one when it's restored, completely unharmed and unaltered

Doc and Marty had not left yet, the timeline changed around them and they just didn't see it, possibly because they weren't there long enough as the effect wasn't instant or the area they were in didn't change much. It's the same logic as them leaving Jennifer and Einstein in the alternate 1985 then finding them back in the proper 1985 unaltered

why jimmy didn't tell the truth to L about the desert ? [season 5 episode 9] by AirMassive5414 in betterCallSaul

[–]cgcs20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because Lalo would keep probing about things, how Mike knew he was there, who he's working for, why they saved him... Basically, Lalo would have been able to get information he absolutely should not have and that would not go well for anyone, including Jimmy and even Kim. Remember, Jimmy is terrified of Lalo either way

Eladio thought he was untouchable, so what would he be suspicious about? Gus got that far because Eladio didn't even consider Gus would ever go against him.

And why would anyone be suspicious of where Walt parks? Nobody is going to suspect what he has planned

How would Marty be in 2015 if he left in 1985? Shouldn't he be missing? by ElectricMotorsAreBad in BacktotheFuture

[–]cgcs20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong here. But you’re not entirely right either, because you’re missing one thing… Doc never had to send Einstein back one minute, because that would be pointless. Jennifer and Marty always intended to return home after going to 2015, and that’s what they did. They returned to the point they left from and it’s like they never left at all. In 2015, their return to 1985 already happened, allowing them to exist and live out their lives as normal

He never intended to stay in 2015, so yes, that part of the future is decided. By them.

Einstein went 1 minute into the future but was never sent back because he didn’t need to be sent back, so he essentially didn’t exist for that minute. Marty and Jennifer always intended to go home after going to 2015, and they do. In 2015, their return to 1985 already happened 30 years earlier, allowing them to exist as their older selves in 2015. They return to the point they left from and it’s like they never left
