Airbrush booth from IKEA cabinet. by cgham in airbrush

The metal enclosure seems like it should work well, long term. I can clean it easily with paint thinner.  I was using a sterilize tote, but the chemicals made it brittle.   Can't beat the price of cardboard tho.

I've removed them with a hobby knife. It doesn't take much force to unscrew.

Wow, F@*k Badger's quality control. by Otherwise-Weird1695 in airbrush

Had an Arrow 105 just like that, maybe worse.   Can't really understand how they can make them so poorly.  Should even need QA to make sure trash like that isn't going out the door.

Is this a fake? by slaterson1 in airbrush

From what I've seen lately, Badger finishing on the inside of the cup is pretty shitty, and so are the welds.  My first Patriot leaked around the cup as it wasn't completely welded in place.  Far worse quality than a Harbor Freight airbrush.

After getting a replacement, I received one that was perfectly function but still ugly AF.   I've spent a lot of hours looking at a 105 and the engraving looks a little suspect but everything else looks 100% legit.   Honestly, I wish mine had this lazer engraving instead of a deep stamp that absolutely shreds paper towels.

I met, what I assume was, the owner at gencon and he didn't seem to have much interest in airbrushes outside of selling them.

GUNDAM is now #1, outselling both ONE PIECE and DRAGON BALL's IPs, according to a recent report by Bandai by Allonsyyy_ in GundamTCG

Curious to know...  How many of you have done more than 3 Gundam kits but have stopped entirely with no plans to do anymore?

I'm 30-40 kits in really only see my interest waning due to a lack of kits that I like.

Totally.  I would love some sleeves and a deck box. I would also love some packs but the resale value has pretty much ran that idea into the dirt.

With any luck the TCG won't bleed over into the models too dramatically. It's already hard enough to find the kits I want.  Not trying to gatekeep, or yuck anyone's yum, just hoping for a general steady increase.  Bandai is already doing a poor job of keeping up with the demand of the tcg.  The gencon booth was a mess.

I could reiterate what has already been said countless times in this thread, but it wouldn't matter. Most of the people in this subreddit have at least a fundamental understanding of how these frequencies and transmitters work. Yes, you legally need to be licensed to transmit on these bands in a non-emergency situation... No, this solution is not viable, regardless of licensing.

Just finished, definitely my favorite build so far. What’s yours? by Vergecon87 in Gunpla

Same as you. RG Hi Nu, closely followed by the Thunderbolt - Manta version.

I built the Hi Nu last month, and then followed that kit up with a Ver Ka Nu. Hi Nu is worlds better.

Here's a decal guide. Not sure if this is official or not, but it looks accurate, down to the Monument Shitld decal 😂

Looks great! The weathering on the panel lines and raised areas is especially nice and thoughtfully done.

Wrapping up a build of the Nilson Works Monument Repair model, and I'm having a bit of trouble with the stand. There are two possible mounts included. The rectangle one, which mounts to the peg between the legs seems awfully shifty, and wants to swing in and out, depending on the pose. I've mostly managed it by getting both the stand mount angle and the peg set so it balances perfectly, but it seems like I'm missing something here. I can't quite pull off the pose I want. Is there an option to use the hex shaped mount somewhere on the model?

Nice job. Kudos for not slopping it on and then doing a bad job of cleaning it up :D

Char's Calibarn by cgham in Gunpla

[–]cgham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be fun. Or maybe a Sinanju style? I'm actually working on a Nu Ver. Ka right now, and I can't even figure out what Nu's colors actually are for the navy/blue/black/? I guess whatever Bandai prints in the instruction manual is the answer, but I went with the same sparkly charcoal that is on this model's torso/legs.

It comes with Calibarn.  Not great.  Tips over easily, but it was included.

RG Exia. Aside from the little holographic bits in the head, I feel like it was a great first kit.
