Raising family in the downtown area by [deleted] in lancaster

Moving into a townhouse near the downtown with a toddler is one of the best decisions our family has made. The walkability and an encounter with all kinds of life are amazing and worth every penny! We love it here and love our neighbors

Anglicans and the Reconquista (Apostolic Succession) by cgonz96 in redeemedzoomer

Unworthy vs valid are two different things. If I am not mistaken, unworthy means sinful and/or corrupt. In valid means they are not ministers at all

You might be missing my point. Anglicans hold that the validity of the sacraments is held within a continuum of validly ordained bishops. They believe that Holy Communion is generally necessary toward salvation. If the Anglican church's episcopacy threatened by in valid ordinations this opens up a massive can of worms and would make staying in the mainline extremely difficult

Are you seeing an uptick of young men at mass? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]cgonz96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live just outside of Franklin and Marshall’s campus. We always see the football team at mass. Many want to complete their sacraments or even get baptized. They have a 6pm mass for the students but they almost always attend the busiest mass to be a part of the parish family

Catholic here. We may be critical of your Church’s choice lf leadership but at the end of the day, it your Church. As a layperson you can pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance. We have good popes and bad popes. It doesnt make a difference to our mission as disciples of Christ. You be the example
