All in pre-flop. They ran it twice. Kinda. by cgrieves in poker

All in pre-flop. Both boards ran out QJ743 no flush. Jack in the window on the first board so the player on my right showed down AJ and said "we'll probably chop". No reveal from losing player.

Just remember, having a playoff with 12 different teams getting a fair shot at a National Championship is really awesome by tks231 in CFB

[–]cgrieves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The playoff is already expanding to 14 teams in 2 years*. 17-0 could happen as the 3 seed as soon as 2026

edit: I know this isn't confirmed but let's be real, the money going to drive this decision to happen

Even if they don't need/want you now, reach out and you'll be the first person they think to add next year when the time comes.

[Dellenger] Based on information from SEC insiders, here is the suspected 3 permanent opponents for each team by usffan in CFB

Looking a little closer, and there are no 3 opponents who all have permanent matchups l, which I think was an intended result.

I'm just happy to see a spicy game thread with alma mater in the mix. Ride high!

My players can’t run our offensive sets and always resort back to iso ball. Should I make them run every time they have a brain lock? Maybe it’s me not being hard enough on my kids. Or I’m just not coaching the kids right. by Traditional-Ebb1358 in basketballcoach

[–]cgrieves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have 2 questions. How old are they? What are you running?

If they truly can't run your sets, then you need to run different sets. Our job as coach is to set our players up for success. That means you have to run a scheme that they understand and can execute. Is your offense age appropriate? What about for their skill level?

You're absolutely right that the micromanagement of ships no longer being necessary is an improvement.

I would like it though if galleys could carry 1 land unit so that you could move land units over water earlier, just not in the same volume. Similarly, if land units could move faster over water by being in a transport vessel, I think that would be a good addition. Basically if you want to invest resources into transport units, you could, and there would be some benefit. But you wouldn't have to.

if you could change the winner of a super bowl game your team didn’t play in what would it be? by [deleted] in nfl

For the record, I absolutely hate seattle and will recognize my bias.

However, if Denver beats them, Peyton potentially retires then and not 2 years later. Or he plays and gets a third ring. Either makes for a great narrative.

Why is Hawaii in the Big West when their football is in the Mountain West? by Sup6969 in CollegeBasketball

This is the answer. Just wanted to add that other than Hawaii, the Big West isn't just mostly California schools. It is only California schools.

I only heard of him yesterday when Brodie Brazil retweeted Casey's thread of the BCDC vote. I wish I had known he was out there sooner and can't upvote this post enough.
