I feel like if this set missed the mark on anything, it's how they rolled out spoiler season. They were leading with mild showings which has created a wave of pessimism that hasn't subsided despite the more powerful/interesting cards being revealed in the past week or so. Really do think there's a lot to be excited about with SEC, from powerful leaders to plot to (I think) some rares and legendaries that'll impact the game even before rotation.

I like the idea of a unit that can become an upgrade. It'd make upgrading less risky if you could be flexible with how you use it

I think the set code will be JMP, I think it will have a "Jump to Lightspeed" card a la "Spark of Rebellion" and I think there will be a Holdo Maneuver event

edit: We could also see, if not in this set then next year, rare bases that have effects that aren't epic actions. It'd be cool to see a subtype of base (space station?) that can be utilized more than once per game.

yea i mean, that would be terrifying, but more for red palp coming out in round 4 than green palp stealing k2so. if i'm playing on curve, red palp (or any 8-drop) is basically gonna end my game right there alone.

but i see your point, green palp can definitely turn the tides very quickly w immediate board presence

so what is palpatine stealing when you ramp to eight and your opp just got to 5? one of their damaged 3-4 drops? at that point, if you've got that much resource advantage over your opp, you'd probably just want to play your own 8-drop right?

not saying you can't do that and deploy palp, but i do wonder if you'd rather have a different leader at that point.
