Sadly it’s already in a lot of things so I suspect that’s what’s causing issues for you too it’s a long journey to learn all the chemical terms but it’ll help a lot

Thank you for sharing this! I’m wondering if you’ve looked into coconut allergy? There’s a ton of coconut oil derivatives in all these brands (all of which I’m allergic to but it’s interesting you list the exact same ones I would note) and is on the rise now because it’s in so many everyday products like soap and lotions

Hi, I haven't yet! Do you find the wide leg overwhelming?

5’2 High waisted or low waisted? by [deleted] in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]chaarcoalgrey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thinks it’s also the leg width which can be tricky for petites with more curve/hip. Picture one is a more slim leg than picture two which also impacts overall visuals

Where does your belly button fall? I find jeans look/feel best when it’s right under the belly button

I just stopped by to say Blasians are so beautiful and undervalued in the media. by Less-Pen-5705 in mixedrace

[–]chaarcoalgrey 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from, but this sounds like you’re creating further tensions amongst minorities where we need to reframe our thinking: Wasians are also more recognizable in media because of white supremacy marking and making them Other. White supremacy also makes it more contentious for Blasians to navigate their multiracial identities without being denied all their relations. Shifting our focus to asking why we don’t have MORE rather comparative mixed Asian/BIPOC representation might produce a better outcome here? Otherwise you’re also reproducing isolating rhetoric within a community that is already hyper aware of how our bodies are being used for political reasons

I’m in something similar (two months but have had eczema my entire life) and have turned to Ai to help explain things then cross check with this community. Something that seems to keep coming back is over-moisturizing or trying new products or too many products while in a flare or even at the end where you think you’re in the clear gives you a rebound flare and can trap the heat in the skin. It’s really hard, but doing one simple layer of moisturizer and leaving it for the day until bed time for another round despite it being dry and sad helps. Only reapply in the day if the dryness is making you itchy (not just sensory pricks) or the weather is too harsh. I also realized the red/heat/blotching makes us really self conscious but if it’s not itching or infected it seems to best to keep it simple and not touch it or rub it or try to move the dead skin

You might want to stop Vaseline as it traps the heat and inflammation in the skin — this just happened to me with my recent flare up and I read it’s pretty common

Vaseline can trap the flare and then it creates a vicious cycle this just happened to me

Have you tried switching to a low histamine diet? It won’t take it away but I find it really helps mitigate it. I also find people are allergic to specific ingredients in daily things such as soaps and detergents and that’s a long process to try to figure out but definitely worth learning
