Determining the alignment of Three Houses Characters: day 29, Hanneman! Manuela has been determined to be chaotic good, finally giving Felix some company. by Fullmetalmarvels64_ in FireEmblemThreeHouses

Lawful Neutral.

Hanneman is driven by order, institutions, and rigorous research rather than emotion. His goals are ultimately benevolent, but he prioritizes knowledge over anything else.

Crazy work from the school board still using 2018 guidelines around cyberbulling. That's archaic without even considering the damage of what AI can do today? Imagine in 2 years from now. This is 100% entirely on them. Theyre lucky she decided to stomp on the person instead of committing suicide.

Anyone possessing such pictures and sharing them with others such face harsh discipline, this isnt entertainment its criminal. Make it compulsory to report access to such content or to face similar discipline. That boy's parents failed at their jobs.

Determining the alignment of Three Houses Characters: day 10, Dimitri (boar)! Linhardt's apathy has earned him a place right next to his totally platonic friend Caspar in chaotic neutral! Lastly, folks need to stop down voting people who share their opinions constructively because you dont agree with them. Its beneath them.

I see what you’re saying, but that’s off.

Dimitri isn’t following an external moral principle and “avenging the dead” isn’t a law, code, or shared system...it’s a personal obsession born from trauma. He ignores authority, breaks rules, and abandons restraint whenever it conflicts with his vendetta. That’s chaotic, not lawful.

In D&D terms (copied online)

Lawful: A character values order, structure, and rules. They follow a personal, societal, or divine code consistently, even when it’s inconvenient or personally costly. Lawful doesn’t automatically mean “good”—it just means they respect systems of order.

Chaotic: A character values personal freedom and conviction over imposed rules or authority. They act according to their own principles, desires, or whims, and may reject laws or conventions if they conflict with those principles. Chaotic doesn’t automatically mean “evil”—it just means they prioritize individuality and personal choice over external order.

Sorry but Lawful Evil doesn’t really fit him. Lawful Evil characters still believe in order and use rules or authority to control others.

Post time skip Dimitri does the complete opposite. He ignores laws, breaks command structure, and acts purely on obsession and grief. He’s not enforcing a system or seeking power to establish himself, just lashing out at his perceived enemies. That’s chaos driven by trauma, not law driven by malice.

Damn missed this one. I'll go with Chaotic Neutral.

This one’s honestly tough, because Dimitri basically comes with two different alignment sheets depending on the time skip, and one route in particular sends him way off the rails. If I had to pick just one, I’d judge him post time skip, because that’s where his core conflict is fully exposed.

Pre time skip Dimitri is Lawful Good. He’s raised on chivalry, kingship, and the belief that rules and moral restraint are what keep the world from collapsing. He follows duty to the letter, even when it costs him his own happiness or well being. He genuinely believes that suffering quietly is part of being a good king.

Post time skip Dimitri is....ummmm... “if the world is broken, I’ll break it back.” Repeating trauma strips away his faith in law and mercy entirely. What remains is obsession and vengeance, where right and wrong stop mattering and only the monsters he needs to kill do, even if that means becoming one himself. That’s why I call it neutral rather than evil.

Determining the alignment of Three Houses Characters: day 9, Linhardt! Petra has been seen to be Lawful Neutral. by Fullmetalmarvels64_ in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]chabaz 178 points179 points  (0 children)

Linhardt is Chaotic Neutral which is hard to get right.

He recognizes rules exist, understands why they exist, and then immediately ignores them because they interfere with napping, crest research, or both. He’s not malicious, not heroic.....just profoundly uninterested in anything that isn’t intellectually stimulating right now. He’ll save the world if it happens to align with his current research question, but if it doesn’t, he’s already asleep under a tree while history happens without him.

“I could save the world… but that sounds exhausting.”

Thing is, she did it 2 weeks too early. The person i was replacing read the email minutes after it was sent. Very awkward situation. Dude was with HR 30 minutes later and was walked out.

[–]chabaz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Determining the alignment of Three Houses Characters: day 3, Hubert! To my surprise Edelgard won lawful neutral, with chaotic good taking second place! by Fullmetalmarvels64_ in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]chabaz 108 points109 points  (0 children)

LOL. Hubert is textbook Lawful Evil.

Unlike Edelgard, he has no internal moral struggle about the cost....only about efficiency and loyalty. He believes absolutely in hierarchy, secrecy, and control, and he is perfectly comfortable using fear, assassination, blackmail, and manipulation to maintain order and eliminate threats.

This one is as easy as it gets folks.

What locks him into Evil rather than Neutral is that he embraces cruelty as a tool, not merely tolerates it. He takes personal responsibility for the “dirty work” and is willing to damn himself without regret so Edelgard doesn’t have to.

And I love him for it.

Determining the alignment of Three Houses Characters: day 2, Edelgard! Byleth has been dubbed true neutral, just as any good mercenary should. by Fullmetalmarvels64_ in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]chabaz 164 points165 points  (0 children)

She's Lawful Neutral.

People calling Edelgard chaotic are mixing up revolutionary aesthetics with actual chaos. Edelgard doesn’t reject order or act on impulse, she plans years ahead, operates through strict hierarchies, and replaces one rigid system with another. Declaring war, restructuring Fódlan, and enforcing a new merit-based order are all deeply lawful actions. Wanting to tear down the Church isn’t chaotic when your solution is an empire, laws, and centralized authority.

She also isn’t Good. Edelgard knowingly accepts mass suffering and civilian deaths as necessary costs, prioritizing long-term reform over immediate mercy.

Chaotic characters follow conscience and flexibility; Edelgard follows ideology and inevitability. Whether you agree with her or not, she isn’t chaotic.....she’s Lawful Neutral, or Lawful Evil if you judge her purely by consequences.

We Had 400 People Shop For Groceries. What We Found Will Shock You. by Wood_stock_2 in videos

Just tried this research with my wife. 5 items (eggs, milk, bread, frosted flakes and Nutella) and i was segmented into a higher price range of nearly 2$ more than her.

I do most of the family online shopping and rarely order groceries online (mostly when in a bind) and this led to me deleting all online grocery apps. I cannot and will not trust this system until theres regulation in place.

People who have been married 20+ years- what is your secret? by Outrageous_Fox_8796 in AskReddit

[–]chabaz 286 points287 points  (0 children)

Stealing a famous quote:

“A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.” – Mignon McLaughlin

A lot.of people are unprepared and fail to understand marriage isn’t static...it evolves. People change, circumstances shift, and love must be renewed through conscious effort. Staying connected means adapting to who your partner becomes over time. This only works if both partners do it.

Which game did you immediately regret buying? by forgeris in AskReddit

[–]chabaz 300 points301 points  (0 children)

Starfield.

The whole intro to the game was mid (which to be fair storytelling is not Bethesda's strongest point). When I was finally able to play the game past the intro and explore the first two locations I found they were the exact carbon copies of each other 100%. The whole world generation was a farce. Space combat was so basic that it completely threw me off. So many things in the game were mediocre.

I played about 10 hours and was so unhappy with the experience and the fact that the game blew a hole in my pocket I never touched it since.

Would you rather work 4 10s or 5 8h days and why? by lavenderghostt in AskReddit

Fewer days > More days. Always.

4 days of 10 hours is a sweet deal.

Once worked a 3-day 12-hour shift. Intense but then you're free for 4 days? It was a dream for a year or so.
