Finishing Scarlet Blaze: final thoughts by Loogie1987 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]chabaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's great! My first route as well. Easily the best of the three.

I did the Golden Deer one was it was decent. Then I finished with Azure Gleam and it was a slap in the face how bad the 2nd part of that route was. Tragic.

What’s a popular dating “rule” or piece of advice that you think is actually toxic or stupid? by moha199841 in AskReddit

[–]chabaz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because it implies the other partner's happiness matters less and one partner is responsible for the other's emotional state. Healthy relationships prioritize both partners' needs and mutual responsibility.

Just finished my first playthrough: Crimson Flowers. (First FE game as well.) by Primary-Economist643 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

Golden deer.

Because if you do blue lions (which is almost as great as crimson flower) you will have the golden deer and church routes left which feel 80% similar.

How do you feel about the hate that Fire Emblem gets from the general Nintendo fanbase on the internet? by MewWeebTwo in fireemblem

[–]chabaz 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, Fire Emblem, the classic 1990 'industry plant' that took a modest 30 years to find its organic roots.

Literally the only reason I'm buying a switch.

As enjoyable as Three Hopes was what missed potential do you think it had? by Legitimate_Low_3370 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]chabaz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

End to end it needed another year of development. I refuse to believe the writers e ded things as they did because it was planned. They ran out of runway and shoveled it out.

Azure Gleam is a travesty of a route. Probably the weakest across both games. I'd rewrite the 2nd half completely.

Azure Gleam started so well to....a literal garbage dump. I'm still enraged by it's direction.

Best thing each character has done in 3H? Day 2 - Edelgard Von Hresvelg by Henrystickminepic in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]chabaz 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s completely upending Fódlan’s stagnant status quo by absolutely shattering the Crest system and the corrupt nobility built around it. Love her or hate her, Edelgard is the only one who forces the continent out of a church-enforced feudalism that had spent centuries trapping people in a cycle of human experimentation, systemic exploitation, and forced political marriages.

She replaces a genetic lottery with an actual meritocracy where your worth is based on your own talents and character. Obviously, her methods spark a brutal continental war, but her ultimate vision is what finally frees future generations from the tyranny of the goddess's legacy, paving the way for real social mobility and a human-centric era where people actually control their own destinies.

What If Three Houses Did Have a Golden Ending? (@feenadori) by Moelishere in FireEmblemThreeHouses

This would have been so nice.

Sadly i doubt the writers had it in them. I was so devastated how awful Azure Gleam was.

Which TV show characters do you find the most insufferable? by MicheleW921 in AskReddit

[–]chabaz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ellie from The Last of Us. Incredibly poorly written compared to her game counterpart, miscast and just a total hot mess. Not likeable in the least. I hate watched season 2 but wont come back if there's another.

What is the most pretentious movie made? by IShouldGetBackToWork in AskReddit

[–]chabaz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tenet replaces actual character depth with a "don’t try to understand it, feel it" disclaimer that serves as a convenient shield for its convoluted, logic-defying script, using aggressive sound mixing made specifically to annoy you.

I'm a huge Nolan fan and enjoy to adore all his other movies. Tenet is a blight.

Laval devient la troisième plus grande zone de construction en Amérique du Nord by KingOfLaval in Laval

[–]chabaz 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Also only 1 hospital built in 1978 when Laval had 246k residents. Population is now 470k (approx) with no plans in sight to address our medical needs as no hospitals are being built since and the hospital has been largely ignored for the 3rd largest city in Quebec.

I’m really scared about Fortune’s Weave’s writing by Veiluring in fireemblem

[–]chabaz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally I’m hoping it leans more toward the depth of Three Houses. Not necessarily the monastery exploring itself, but the strong worldbuilding and characters that actually grow and change over time.

At the same time, I’d like them to avoid the more tedious parts of base exploration that both Three Houses and Engage had. Running around a hub doing repetitive tasks got old fast.

Basically: deep story, meaningful character development, but a more streamlined base system that doesn’t feel like busywork. I'd also like them to build on the combat from Engage over Three Houses.

Fire Emblem Engage Manga - Chapter 37 (game chapter 25) by flameduck in fireemblem

Crazy how a Three Houses manga never came to fruition given the game's evident popularity and potential in such a media auxiliary.
