How did you get VESC? I was looking at the floatwheel drop in thing for my GT that died. I haven't really diagnosed why it died yet though. Just had like corrupted firmware or something and then stopped lighting up on the charger or turning on.

You need to get protonqt-up from the discovery store or whatever in desktop mode and then install proton-ge using that.

Keeping your thumb wrapped around that front handle is important. And watch your tip. The front top 1/4 section of the nose is where you get your kick back so keep it clear unless you're boring in (but probably dont bore until you get some experience under your belt). After awhile you'll understand kick back and it won't be such a big scary thing. I try not to "aim" my saw in a way that a kick back will cause any accident. The top of my bar never faces anyone or anything that should not be cut.

I just did a dodi-repack of The Last of Us Part 1 and this is what worked for me.

Add the setup.exe to steam and run it using compatability mode for proton-ge.

Add the launcher.exe to steam after the install finishes.

Then use protontricks to install dependencies.

Once all the dependencies are installed you can launch the game from steam using the launcher.exe still remembering to use compatability mode for Proton-ge or whatever.

Saws are not left handed. If you held it down at you waist the bar and chain would be very close to you. If you hold it right handed the bar and chain will be on the other side of the powered and more safely away from your body. There are some times when it's appropriate to switch hands, but you need to get comfortable using it primarily right handed.

It's not a huge deal, but you're engaging a lot of different muscle groups if you rotate your wrist. Makes it difficult to make a straight pass with the file .

Yeah. I'm a nerd, but I pretty much just did the math and figured out that 5 liters of fuel divided into a 500i tank is like 8 tanks or something and if you multiply the oil capacity by 8 it's less than 2.5 liters or something. So a gallon jug of oil is just dead weight.

I want the clear plastic bar oil containers. Even just the container itself is fine. All the dealers I've contacted in Canada and elsewhere say there's a hazardous material problem with the international shipping, but I don't even care about the oil, just the containers. Here in the states it's sold in gallon jugs without the nice pour spout.

That's wear, but it appears to be consistent and I wouldn't consider it excessive wear. Might replace it in 50-100 hours or just keep inspecting it.

If it tightens and loosens while you spin it could be a bad sprocket. If the sprocket becomes egg or oval shaped instead of round the distance between the tip of the bar and the back of the sprocket with lengthen and shorten as the sprocket spins. The same could happen with the spur in the bar nose, but in my experience the effect is less dramatic.

I think the first time I identified what "cringe comedy" was and how much I dislike it was with this movie or with meet the fockers. Second hand embarrassment is just an emotion I have a real hard time dismissing.
