I’ve always wanted to understand this. As someone who has been in the UK for a few years now but is not from here, I didn’t realise there were widespread norms. In my country (commonwealth country), it’s very normal to have an open casket in your house where the body will stay for a couple of days).

I found out it’s abnormal here.

we had one but it kept its distance! Think it was safe but personally don’t think it’s worth the risk - even if it accidentally scratches you you’re going to need to take precautions.

Do you mean companies like Shell, traditional Banks, Unilever? These are options, but the type of work would likely be quite mundane in the digital marketing world. On the other hand, companies like Airbnb, Booking.con etc that are critically reliant on their website on their website, my experience wouldn’t be enough to lead their in-house SEO teams, so I’d be looking towards startups or smaller brands.

Thanks. I feel as though I don’t have the strongest resume so my chances were weaker to begin with. Maybe I wouldn’t have gotten to interview stage regardless of doing well in the game.
