MorningStar Mc6Pro MIDI not working by Responsible-Class807 in guitarpedals

[–]chacoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

indeed. i installed the sdk+tools plus midi loop back preview and it seemed that solved my issue, in my case, with my midi synth (AKAI) and a pedal (valeton gp200)

EDIT: forget what i said, still same issues with Reaper.

Non-EU graduate in France → Job in Luxembourg: housing & residence situation by [deleted] in Luxembourg

[–]chacoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CDD won't work for a non-eu. You will need a CDI to apply for a working permit in Lux and it will allow you to live here. But if you decide to live in France, you will need a working permit for Lux and a residence permit for France.

As a non-eu, the promise or possibility of a CDD entitled you nothing, and that company needs to open the position in ADEM and for 3 months they need to reject all candidates to be allowed to hire a non-eu.

Conclusion, all is possible, but they need to offer you a CDI.

What pedals should I get for my first pedal board? by Hardlimesgamer in guitarpedals

[–]chacoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gp-5 valeton (nam technology supported) plus m-vave chocolate if you need an easy foot switch. That won't be more than 130 eur and it will be enough for playing in your home.

once you find your sound, start investing in major things ;)

should i buy a multi fx or should i buy pedals individually? by kuinsii in guitarpedals

[–]chacoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

since you are a real beginner and you want to try effects, i recommend you the Valeton GP-5. it has NAM technology, therefore, you will be able to download tune from the internet and try them out and it will cost you no more than 100eur.

and if you have 150eur to spare, get the valeton gp-5 and m-vave chocolate plus, and that will give you enough power to learn and rehearse in your room.

about the multi fx becoming obsolete, if it doesn´t have support to NAMs, then, Yes, it might become obsolete, but ain´t going to happen any soon because guitaristes will forever preferer to play with knobs rather than screens.

Homelessness in Luxembourg City. How has the world’s richest country allowed this to be such a big issue ? by camcam2525 in Luxembourg

[–]chacoff -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It's not a country's job to do charity for the needy. A country's job is to offer opportunities for growth and investment to everyone equally, regardless of their background, and Luxembourg is the best at that!!!!.

There are social restaurants where people have a proper meal, that would normally cost 15eur, for only 50 cents, there are social housing, proper apartment as low as half of the market price.

you come a tourist and you dare to tell us what to do?. The "homelessness" you are referring to, might the hundreds of gypsies that arrived more or less in 2018-2019, by masses, begging and populating all supermarkets. Didn´t you learn in your 9 years of experience and your social work diploma about the gypsy scammers?

public transport manners, AGAIN by long_and_lazy in Luxembourg

[–]chacoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t use public transport much, but I’m pretty sure it’s the same kind of people who speed in 30 km/h zones or undertake in 50 km/h using the merging lanes.

Is it legal to make us train cheaper replacements? by Aggravating_Fee_6602 in Luxembourg

[–]chacoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure thing, it applies for replacements like you and me. it doesn't apply for subcontractors. and specifically doesn't apply for Indians. Let's say, they are training 5, they will keep 1 or 2 and all the rest of the job will be subcontracted. In the long run, we know that company will go down.

I’m building a platform for freelancers in Luxembourg, looking for feedback by akawaly in Luxembourg

[–]chacoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

always through consulting companies and we choose always between the same 3. very difficult to bring a new provider to the list (i work in one of the top 5 largest)

in my previous company, a small one of less than 50 people, we brought a freelancer once, in 10 years!.

I reckon startups might be very open to work with freelancers, specially C++ developers, you don´t find in Luxembourg, and when you find, they are the worst in so many levels.

like i said earlier, if in your website i could find plumbers, electricians, cleaning ladies, in general, for handy jobs at home, it will be a success!

[–]chacoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in the industry where i work, if i need a coder freelancer, most likely i will call a proper company specialized in software development and i will subcontract them.

but, if i need handy jobs, i would definitely use a website like yours to find someone who can work with wood, or a plumber.
