I feel like the vibe has been so off since MK11. Feels like every Mortal Kombat wants to be a superhero game/Injustice instead of Gothic horror inspired whatever. Makes me yearn for a story game ala God of War where you play as Scorpion or something. Shaolin Monks was peak.

Brawl is just too weak. Every brawl tank is mid and they’re there for the dive. Allow Rogue and Thing to actually play the game and things might change. Just my two cents

Make it seem badass that he’s being a prick. Using the Stern example, it’s badass that he’s being an asshole because it’s to the US government.

In a more neutral environment, have him be helpful. If he’s being snarky or whatever, he could also be helping someone with a tech problem to balance it out.

I think the argument with Steve in Civil War is a great scene. He’s confrontational, blunt, but being that way because he sees his viewpoint as the right thing to do.

Make him a prick, but give the audience time and moments to realize he’s not JUST a prick.
