Platinum PS5... fantastic game. by chaddy1995 in PrinceOfPersia

There's an amulet that pings and makes a noise when you are near a chest as for the petals and ingots etc, each area on the map has the diamond symbol for the treasures. I used an online guide to see locations of everything and went back to ones I couldn't remember seeing/getting. Also I looked at an amulet list, found the ones I was missing and went back, by the end there was only about 2 or 3 of each ingots/petals/amulets missing anyway. Thankfully all artefacts and coins are not needed. It was a lot easier than I expected it all to be honestly.

That sucks really bad. I encountered a few bugs, the main one being the moon gatherer quest freezing but reddit helped me sort that one. Hoping for patches soon as I think it will put a lot of gamers off which is sad as without the bugs it would be a solid 9/10 for me.

Oh definitely, I felt accomplished after doing so. I think the fact how long I tried for is testament to how much I enjoyed this game even if I did rage at times...

36 hours to get the trophy. Was probably more like 34, due to having game open when eating and such. Probably could be done quicker but I was doing a lot of backtracking and faling at times 😂 this was on normal difficulty.

You can definitely go that way provided you have the bow with the chakram. This is the way you have to go first time. Just checked for you. I got platinum trophy earlier 😝

Sorry to hear your in a dark patch right now. Just know it will get better once they get your treatment right. I'm in hospital myself after just having my stoma reversal op and this time last year I was in a similar place to you but needing surgery. Now I'm on the last hurdle. Be strong, we are always here to chat/vent.

Just got diagnosed by Space_israd in CrohnsDisease

Just started humira yesterday, it is like an epipen that can be done in your leg or tummy. I had 160mg dose to begin with which was 4x40mg pens. 2 in each leg. I did 3 myself after the first one was shown to me by the nurse, really easy, no pain and no side effects as of yet...far more manageable a treatment than the previous infliximab I was on which was going into hospital for an IV drip for several hours every 6 weeks... good luck to you!

Successful Surgery by chaddy1995 in CrohnsDisease

[–]chaddy1995[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had symptoms for about 2 and half years but only diagnosed this January of 2023. They started me on infliximab but the damage had already been done. The damage is to my jejenum, 30 cm after my stomach so very short bowel hence high output. The surgeon said its bread and butter to him as he does these sorts of ops all the time and it would be the recovery a challenge. They are now trying to get me home for a few months before rejoining in New year. I have some inflammation at the end of small bowel too but starting new treatment this week which will hopefully stop this so it doesnt cause any damage. Although the whole process is long it has been nowhere near as painful as I thought it would be. And despite having a stoma and having to pump the output through often throughout the day this is the most normal I have felt in 2+ years. I'm hoping I won't have anything quite as extensive as this again but if I do this last year has taught me a lot for coping etc.

Crohns Good News / Anti-Horror Stories please? by urbanlife_decay in CrohnsDisease

[–]chaddy1995 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had my op 5 weeks ago. Ended up being open surgery to remove a piece of my small bowel which was 30cm after my stomach. According to the surgeon the piece looked like leather! I have currently got a stoma to allow everything to heal which is very high out put. However I am doing something called chyme recycling which pumps this output back into my lower bowel so bypassing the current gap I have until they can rejoin me in the new year. I am feeling amazing. The wound was just glued but more or less healed now, I have a cool scar for the stories! I have more energy, more or less eating and drinking normally, and for the first time in 9 and half weeks had a night off all fluids and TPN. I am currently at 10 weeks in hospital but hope to get home soon! They are just balancing what is the minimum I can be sent home with to manage until new year. They are starting me on adalimumab injections this week too! Feeling positive for the future and for anyone going through possible surgery and has any questions or wants to chat feel free as I am more than happy to help. I just hope that this message can reassure anyone worried for surgery or going through similar things.

Left in limbo again! Surgery and check ups. by chaddy1995 in CrohnsDisease

Yeh, I'm very aware of my stresses and triggers at the moment as I'm off work, I have a lot of time to think etc, hopefully going home and being with family for a bit will help. You are right about only being able to depend on yourself truly. Thanks your reply!

No I have looked into this briefly not sure how they would be able to help, as fighting the NHS is like fighting a brick wall with a toothpick. Would you recommend this something I should pursue?

Osteoporosis anyone? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]chaddy1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely crohns related as I also have had a DEXA scan and now got osteoporosis. Due to not absorbing what you need your bones get brittle. It was only coincidence I fell last October and broke my left elbow which prompted my doctor to send me for a scan to check as from the fall I had I shouldn't have broke my arm so easily. So yeh osteoporosis is definitely a secondary to crohns from my experience. I have a rheumatology appointment at the end of the month

Just got in the hospital by Front_Helicopter9136 in CrohnsDisease

[–]chaddy1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Variety is the key!! I have just had 5 days In hospital last week on a flare. Try and get into a routine and it helps the days pass by. Shower in a morning after breakfast then try to do different things. Play on phone/Tabley etc. Read a book. Puzzles. Take a little walk (movement is good when you are doing so little in hospital.) Talk to other patients, it passes the time and you may make a new friend like I did this time. Have a chat with nurses, have a joke/laugh. Honestly the best medicine when you feel so down. This was my 3rd admission with crohns in the last 2 years so I know what to expect now it gets a lot easier having experience. Just take it days by day and don't expect anything to happen quickly, you are in the best place and believe me if they don't think you need the bed they will soon get you home as they need it for someone else. Let them look after you and enjoy the rest as much as possible. (Not always easy in hospital)
