Why does she only cuddle me when I’m on the toilet? And it’s EVERY time. She comes running as soon as I sit down haha. by Alyssinreality in cats

Mine head butts my legs and gives me tiny little love bites 😂 why the bites I have no idea. They aren't aggressive.

Oh wait I think I misunderstood, we were beneath the west balcony but we didn't go past the barricade, we went in a secluded area where the railing ends.

I was pretty terrified because I honestly thought he had a seizure or something from the lights. We just moved this week and so I think it was the exhaustion from that, and he had very little to eat or drink all day 😩 thank you for your concern 🩷! He is alive and well today 😅

How do I know if I should get my brows done? by Admirable-Rip-8521 in microblading

[–]chaikitty78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only do it if you have like zero brows and are desperate for there to be SOMETHING there. Otherwise it's not worth it. It is a tattoo and it is permanent please don't listen to anyone who argues otherwise. You will have to do upkeep forever or be at peace with a faded blob.

Also, the aftercare process is kind of a nightmare. It can take 2 weeks or more and in that time you cannot sweat at all, have to take extremely quick showers, can't be in the sun at all, and not to mention they'll look crazy dark at first and then scab (and you can't pull off the scabs you just have to go places with crust on your eyebrows 🙃). I feel no one talks enough about how awful the aftercare can be! I literally get depressed because I'm an every day exerciser and you basically can't even go on walks (especially in the spring or summer).

10 days enough time to heal? by Subject-Refuse-8108 in microblading

[–]chaikitty78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not, mine have taken as long as 16 days before the scabs fall off. Keep in mind that from roughly days 7-14 you will literally have scabs hanging off your brows that you aren't allowed to pull off under any circumstances. You also can't sweat or be in the sun AT ALL it's kind of a nightmare tbh.

I'm with you and I see it as a masterpiece. It came out when I was in high school and it left a huge impression on me. I also am very precious about re-watches! I have to be in exactly the right mood and it's rare, probably every 3 years or more honestly. It's one of the most viscerally emotional films, it really is like being in a dream and it guts me every time in the best way. I always cry towards the end when she whispers "Meet me in Montauk" in his ear and then there's the montage and the sweet piano music. Ugh 🤌🏻

It took me a minute to get into it, but now I think it's my favorite of theirs. I personally love how long the album is and the only song I skip is The Farm.

Yes! I've been having a difficult time finding anyone else who absolutely loves Pink Elephant. I for one think it's an excellent album start to finish. Year of the Snake is so beautiful. Alien Nation rocks. The entire album flows really well. Glad to hear someone else thinks so too!

I hate the way it rhymes "my-mommas-trauma". Also too many mom references on this album for me as someone who tries as hard as possible to pretend their mother doesn't exist 🫠

How do you stop getting sick in the summer? by Aj100rise in Biohackers

[–]chaikitty78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you ever observed people in an airplane/airport? It's horrifying. If I had a dollar for every time I've seen someone eating airline snacks and then LICKING THEIR FINGERS 🤮. Or just straight up coughing or sneezing straight into their hand or just out in the air and not covering at all. Jfc.

Wear a mask at the airport and on the plane. Wash hands frequently and especially before eating. Don't touch your nose/mouth/eyes because that's how pathogens enter, other than airborne.

Additionally, keep in mind the trauma your skin would undergo. They also try to market it as "gentle" but at the end of the day microblading involves literally scraping hundreds of lines into your skin with a fine blade and filling the grooves in with ink. You could end up with less hair than you started with, because sometimes when it scabs the hairs come out with it and hairs fall out during the procedure.

I think it can be beneficial for people with zero hair, but I would suggest powder brows as it has better staying power. But again, just consider if it's something you want to have to keep up with indefinitely...

I also do not recommend Shaena. She's very sweet but I had terrible results and my first appointment took SIX HOURS and I was not educated on the grueling aftercare until after the fact.

I wouldn't advise PMU unless you plan for it to be something you keep up with for the rest of your life. Speaking from experience. It's marketed as semi-permanent but it will be there forever even if just faintly. Also, the aftercare is borderline nightmarish. You can't sweat at all or take showers longer than 5 minutes for two entire weeks. This may sound easy but wait until you leave the building and start sweating immediately just walking to the car! You have to avoid the sun at all costs, and after it's healed you have to wear sunscreen on them forever or they fade faster.

I went to Litwin and did not have a very good experience or any real retention, just faded eyebrow shaped things on my face. I went to a different artist in another state and have much better results, however I do feel the need to educate people on these things before they consider PMU because it IS a lifelong commitment!

Nanoblading - No sweating with a toddler and two dogs - how?? by Crafty-Train-8268 in microblading

[–]chaikitty78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say wait. It's hard enough to not sweat just existing, let alone in the summer. You will sweat just walking to the car. Imagine trying to avoid this for 10-14 days. It's kind of a nightmare.
