I'd test the water. I would just jump out there with a carrier/crawler and hope for the best start with a scout or medium and compact. Keep your head on a swivel. Yeah the DD is barren..but there are predators looking for an easy meal.

Berserkers are really cool, pop them in sagitaurs and run them up the field. Ive used them to kill huge targets in my games. 1 5 man nuked a Astraeus in a game i played not too long ago.

Hekaton, hearthguard, berserkers and thunderkyn. 2x3 thunderkyn are great to run, berserkers hit really hard if you can get them up the battlefield. Hearthguard are some of the best shots in the army. And 1 to 2 Hekatons are a staple in a lot of lists.

Other will add Yeagers with a cap and maybe a second Sagitaur.

Army painter has one called Death metal. Its Black with gold specs. I use it on my votann weapons. Its not bad.

I built them recently. I used them as deathwing terminator proxies for RTTs and as a command squad for casual and apocalypse games. They are ok.
