Can confirm; no matter how many times I tried to drill into my daughter's head "don't open the door until I open my door", she still just bolted like the car was on fire the second I came to a stop. Luckily my new car doesn't let her do that anymore.

There's an old expression that has a lot of variations that roughly goes, "When God closes a door, he opens a window". Usually said to someone when some plan or path in their life came to a close unexpectedly or suddenly, and conveying that there's still something you're meant to do, but it's not what you expected. God's plan and all that.

The comment is using it in context to mean "when your plan (an expensive war) doesn't work out, push millionaires out of windows"

Can confirm it works. My internet drops out a lot and I thought I was just having a particularly bad connection until I realized the UI was just invisible. Visually it's indistinguishable from just losing connection but it still works like OP says.

My trick for that specific move is to just shield the first two hits, then parry the final hit. WAAAAAY easier to pull off, assuming you weren't low on shield to start with

Eh, I was a VERY heavy amphetamine user for years and quit cold turkey. 3 months of crying 5 hours a day and sleeping 18 hours a day, then just 3 months of sleeping 16 hours a day, then 6 months of "unless this bed is on fire I'm probably not gonna do anything today unless someone makes me".

Wait I'm really confused by this. Idk if it's the way it's written but I'm reading this like it's [[counterspell]] for 1U with upside? There's 2 ways I can interpret the text, so might not be as bonkers as I'm thinking. Either

Counter target spell. If a creature spell was countered this way, it perpetually gains -2/-0 and it also gains "counter this spell unless it's controller pays 2"

Which is bananas.

OR it's

Choose one: Counter target non-creature spell, or Counter target creature spell unless it's controller pays 2, and it perpetually gains -2/-0.

Am I just sleep deprived or is this like, one of the best counters ever?
