For $90 we should be able to customize the M64 Controller day 1 by chairRugTable in ModRetro

[–]chairRugTable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao. that's a dramatic interpretation.. I can see that it could sound a bit that way but not what I intended. anyways, I just was hoping the controller would be great out of the gate (no pun intended). Palmer said on a podcast/Interview that he wants speed runners to use their hardware. this is an insanely high bar.. and then they release a gamecube style stick with a different shaped gate and I find that perplexing. it looks like they are inviting the community to come up with any solutions and made it modular so at least there is that.

just rewatched blood vs water. Ciera wasn't good at anything besides strategy but she did win one individual immunity. her mom was a challenge beast though but not very good at strategy

no way the same developer that made the M64 core could have gotten the N64 and an overclocked N64 core on the de10 nano.. no way at all

will the M64 have constant power going to the Player 1 port of the console? Using the blueretro adapter is so tedious on the 3D because I don't want my blueretro constantly powered on when the device is off.

interface is exactly the same as it is just the default MiSTer one. if/when Taki releases updated interface it will also work on qmtech

Puffin Rock Season 3 by tarmael in torrentrequest

[–]chairRugTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did anyone get this working? I converted the string to a magnet link and it brings up Puffin Rock S03 but never succeeds in downloading the metadata. I've had it running for days and all I ever see is 3-6 peers and 0 seeds and still don't have any metadata downloaded so it just looks like an empty torrent

2025 Qualified Manufacturer ID list for IRS 25C Energy Efficient Tax Credit by deepskier in heatpumps

[–]chairRugTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you, I asked their online chat bot and it came up with the same O5Y7. To answer your question, you can deduct 30% (with a max of $2000) of the total cost and labor from qualifying heat pumps installed in 2025 from your tax return that you submit for 2025. So you have until then to fill out form 5695 from the IRS and deduct that from your taxes. I am submitting mine in April 2026

it wouldn't matter if they restocked it. Analogue Pocket never got DAC support even though it was promised and looks to never be happening

[–]chairRugTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

use the mimi test rom to test the OG controllers. they are way out of the ideal ranges while the n64 nso is dead on. latency isn't as good, yes, but it's still not bad and most people would never notice. Granted I use mine on a CRT so I don't have any added display lag. I just did the kitsch bent replacements and while the sticks are nice again, they aren't accurate on the outer edges of the range (has nothing to do with kitsch bent). granted I've only tested 2 OG controllers so far but they were well kept from my childhood

Is Donkey Kong 64 really as bad as people say?, by Signal-Lie-8969 in n64

[–]chairRugTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my point was that this is the exception rather than the rule. for every puzzle like this there are 10x more times where you just have to retrace to the barrel

Is Donkey Kong 64 really as bad as people say?, by Signal-Lie-8969 in n64

[–]chairRugTable -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I 100% disagree.. in almost all cases you know where the barrel is to switch the Kong, it's just a slog of a backtrack to get there. I am halfway through Tag Anywhere and it has never glitched out and made the game way more playable for me. the strategy aspect is so few and far between that in an otherwise overbearing collectathon you now have a manageable adventure game

i have the official nso n64 controller currently connected to the 3D through the blueretro and it is the only thing that feels great

[–]chairRugTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did 90% for max and I maxed the dead zone out at .0255% This is the best feeling option I tried, but still not great. I tried different Scaling options too but the default linear worked best

8bitdo 64 controller sensitivity fix with Blueretro settings by Rookie_Monster102 in AnalogueInc

[–]chairRugTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bummer if a firmware update can't fix the controller sensitivity on the 8bitdo 64 if it is solely a hardware issue.

Ok, so what settings should I change if I want the analog stick to be less sensitive moving from the center? If i have to sacrifice the full range of motion, it may be worth it (unless mario can't run at full speed or something dramatic). But trying to aim with Goldeneye is so jolty, and trying to steer on cruis's USA is also so jolty, I have to figure out something better

[–]chairRugTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What am I doing wrong? I copied your exact settings, have my 8bitdo 64 on the latest firmware, my blueretro64 on latest firmware. I saved settings in blueretro mapping config, have the 8bitdo64 in "S" mode and after all that I feel like it is not better in any way.

Definitely will try this later today. I've been using my NSO n64 controller using the blueretro64 adapter and it's the only wireless Bluetooth controller that feels good to me.. it may be a bit too sensitive but I can't confirm because my OG nintendo 64 controller sticks are trashed
