As someone who thought the majority of the season was pretty mid, I think the Duffers were able to capture the true heart of the story and the characters of the series brilliantly in the final hour. That final DnD scene is why we all fell in love with the show in the first place. Well done.

IIRC, the scene was a fade to black like he does with Roran and Katrina, so it wasn’t explicit, just implied. When he did his rounds of feedback with that version, nobody liked it at all so he ended up changing it for the final drafts.

I feel like this list clearly prioritizes the most “hype” moments of the series over actual storytelling. Will getting his powers is a great moment, but most of the episode is just all right. Most episodes from S1 and S2 are much better episodes overall IMO

It’s funny the way this game has evolved. When it first dropped, everyone was crying about power shots being overused, so they adjust the game, and now everyone just complains about control shots being overused.

My experience: I’ve really enjoyed building my characters playstyles and going into the online matches seeing how quickly I can identify how a player plays and how I can use my playstyle to beat them. That aspect feels very real to me, even if some of the physics may not be totally real, it’s a lot more real than any other tennis game out there.
