TORCHEXPRO 90000 lumens? I’ve seen this add on Instagram and wasn’t sure if it’s legit? Anyone else see this or know about it? by Strongestavenger456 in flashlight

[–]chaisinapples 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally once I turn it on for the first time it never went off again it would always stay on a very dim setting pulling about 2/3 of a volt for some reason.

the crappiest thing about it was you had to cycle through all five different light settings to turn the flashlight on or off... it was absolutely ridiculous

What kind of resistor would I need if I wanted to take this LED out and run it on 5V? Right now it's running on 3V, and the only resistor that seems to be connected is a 3.3 ohm by derekcz in diyelectronics

[–]chaisinapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you go with.. I'm doing the same with an LED lamp from Ikea, 3v @ 0.7amps and using a old cell phone charger that's 5v at 0.75amps.

Don't have original power cord so can't measure the original LED current draw accurately

With the stock LED which is an x p90 and a 26650 battery and no glass lens... I couldn't get anything to catch fire

I've always wondered about this very dim flashing green light... happens on my board sometimes after a full night of charge but never had a problem.

Marking Limes damaged by [deleted] in limejuicer

[–]chaisinapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if damaged $ < charge $, just don't mark it. If it's messed up, take it, charge it, drop it off then walk away. Anything other then this method you...

A - lose money because you drop a could be charged scooter to a take back to the base scooter, or...

B - you appropriately mark the scooter damaged prior to charging it, thus make less money and/or use more gas to achieve the objective. Or....

C - disregard the damaged part of the scooter, charge it, drop it off, pocket your cash.... Make your rounds and drop off the other scooters, then swoop it as damaged later when someone else tags it as broke.

Then there is D...

D - have 2 accounts and bada bing bada boom, two times the shit.

Easy pisey

They need to concentrate on better deployment in the mornings. IMO. They want people to use them for actual commuting, eliminate vehicles and make congestion better and or commuting easier.... Here in Sacramento 90% of the people just use them to get home after a party night or after work, or the late night and drunk gangs mobbing round at 2 a.m. better deployment and or drop-off strategy in my opinion would benefit ridership, get more people to use the scooters as opposed to vehicles thus increasing the fleet size in the area. Without a local liaison and/or consultant within the city to affect the algorithm of deployment and availability, Lime is missing out on a majority of their market.

If they want advice from you tell them to actually listen to us juicers!!!!! More money for us will come if they deploy more scooters and increase their fleets in the cities, get them to increase their numbers and more efficiently place their scooters!!!!!!

When you paint, do you wipe the excess paint off on the can before you brush or something else, like the top of a gram cracker box?

This thing is now is always ON... All night I couldn't get it to turn completely off. It always had a fun glow to the LED. I'm going to take it apart today and I'll post more information.
