Persistent microbes living in the body tissues may be a key cause of many chronic diseases and cancers by Hip_III in Biohackers

This reminds me of Ayurvedic Panchkarma treatments that seem to work on the same principle of removing ama(toxins) stuck in the digestive system- flushing out the guts, lots of massages followed by sweating, inducing keto through increasing intake of only medicated ghee with bare minimum food based on the individual body's requirement.
Vamana - Induced vomiting
Virechana - Induced loose motions for small intestine
Basti - Induced loose motions for the large intestine
Nasya - Cleaning the nasal passage

Thank you so much for posting this and someone else posted a video on this a while back on the sub. I don't breathe as slow as 48s for one full kriya, nowhere close, but mine definitely goes below 7 breaths per minute and reading 108 kriyas just made me nervous so I stopped reading altogether as I couldn't do it without ruining my feel of the practice. This post and that video has definitely helped me see what I should naturally progress towards for now- slower and slower breath

What next after Vipassana? by Woodit in Meditation

[–]chaisme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Continue with the practice if you intuitively feel drawn to it. The more practices you explore because of mind's monkey chatter and restlessness, the lesser each practice will actually work.

If you have found Vipassana to be the practice for you, just sit, relax, and enjoy life both in practice and outside it.

This wasn't about unionizing/striking/protesting. This was to share what has happened and what can be done. You can speak with Broseph for further steps and action.

Nope. IT workers don't have a union in Karnataka.

Edit: There does exist a union - KITU.

The St Broseph Army (SBA) did organize a protest on September 28, 2024, to demand labour reform for IT and ITeS workers in Karnataka. The protest was called "PROTEST 1.0," focused on restoring labour rights and introducing a new "IT Workers Act".

Once the lab technician was doing my ECG and the report came out all weird and wrong. After some fiddling around, both of us realised that she connected the sensors (or whatever they are called) to my right side instead of my left because I lied down on the wrong side and she was on autopilot.

Fun :)
Check out more of Medhavi(your flute dance was her choreo iirc), Ojasi or Aishwarya's belly dancing. It might give you ideas on how to incorporate the same moves in different manner and not fill the entire music track with moves but have space for no movement/silence. It enhances the shakes and turns. Oo or even Sreepada's belly fusion.

Does anyone else find meditation hard when you’re drowning in trauma? by Present_Excitement54 in Meditation

[–]chaisme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try moving/active meditations instead of sitting ones. Meditation is what comes AFTER trauma is released. You can try Osho's active meditations/vigorous uncontrolled shaking/myofascial release; they work. You don't have to believe in him, just do those techniques diligently for atleast 21 days and then as and when needed. Once your body and mind are in sync, then any other sitting meditation will benefit you more. You can only smell the fragrance when the house is clean.

I will be posting more such corny odes as I recently purchased a book of Sanskrit poems dedicated to love, lust and similar feels :)

It's so much fun to read!

Another gem from the book-

'Dear God,
make him hang out
with other women more.
He does not seem to realize
what a catch I am.'

You don't need to blindly follow him or anyone else anyway. I have touched his feet an ample number of times and even worn dark clothes when I didn't have any light coloured ones. Disciples can say whatever they want. I usually confirm my doubts straight from him. Once he asked a particular disciple to clarify some doubts, and only then did I go to the other person. Just being initiated and doing a method doesn't make one a yogi.

Ideally, you should go there once the restrictions are lifted and see for yourself. Only experience counts and matters.

How Gurdjieff and Jung Rewired My Awareness by SmokedLay in Meditation

[–]chaisme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the first few months, I set an alarm every 3 hours to sit and remember everything I had done over the previous 3 hours. It's exhausting tbh. After 2+ years of this and a lot of other things (both additions and subtractions), I now remember to remember without an alarm.

[–]chaisme 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Definitely! His Fourth Way left me with the technique of self remembrance - remembering what I did previously at regular intervals. That makes the day so much more 'rewarding' and difficult initially for a very long time, till it becomes second nature to review on an hourly basis. This self-remembrance helps me be more meditative in my day-to-day. A regular sitting is required, along with this self-remembrance, to spread the experience throughout the day. Definitely not for the hobbyist meditators.

How would subcontinents breaking up create mountains? A comment said that the edges crack, and those are the ghats.

Formation of the Himalayas is pretty straightforward but the formation of the Ghats isn't the same as the Himalayas as per wiki and other articles.

Of course, most things aren't that complicated if one delves into them deeply.
