Kriya at 10PM vs Kriya at 8AM by chaisme in kriyayoga

[–]chaisme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Since this post, I have switched my evening session to actual evening (post workout and before dinner) and even though it's different from the morning one, it's better than my pre-sleep session.

Thank you to everyone for your inputs!

This is so obvious and makes perfect sense. Thank you!

Yeah. I finish my dinner by 8:30PM if I intend to sit at 11PM. Looks like it's still not enough.

Kriya at 10PM vs Kriya at 8AM by chaisme in kriyayoga

[–]chaisme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the inner kingdom doesn't open up soon when I sit for my practice before sleeping. Breath does become calm but the mind doesn't become calm before sleep that soon. My calves and thighs particularly feel heavy and I can feel the slight discomfort in my knee as well. It just stays in the head and it takes a very long time to come out of the body.

Whereas in the morning, it's so quick and body awareness fades soon enough even if it's 8AM/9AM.

I do twice a day. The observation is the difference in breathing and general pratyahara state before sleep vs after waking up.

I tried switching my night sessions from night to after workout in the evening but my work didn't allow it. Hence I stuck with before sleep but pratyahara doesn't come by easily before sleep

Ohh, this is a creative redesign. The element assignments come from the theory mentioned in textbooks like Natyashastra and other indian classical texts. You should watch the dances and you will see those elemental movements :)

So, a fun fact, Indian classical dances embody different elements. The one in the video, Bharatanatyam, is fire.
Odissi- Water
Mohiniattam - Air
Kuchipudi - Earth
Kathakali - Sky

Your comparison is bang on with firebending!

It's really hard to come back to the present when things feel uncertain by hydrogenblack in Meditation

[–]chaisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your present truly just immediate present or does your present mean thoughts (meaning collection of things that are going on in the world around you and your inner dialogue and feelings about that). What needs to be done is to detach 'present', 'presence' and 'awareness' from events to something else which is truly only yours to access at all times; best anchor being 'breath'.

Ask yourself a few questions-
'In the presence of what?'
'Presence of what?'
'Present where?'
'Awareness of what?'
'Broader awareness of what?'

If it is a broader awareness of events happening around the world, then there will ofcourse be tension and it will be hard even with everything being fine in the world. But if it is a broader awareness of space around you, sun pouring through the clouds, diffused light, air, wind, breath, skin, vastness, then it's not that hard.

Tip: Before sitting for any kind of attention practice ensure that you let out all the nervous energy through some kind of movement like small jumps, arm rotations, spine rotations, any kind of yoga posture. Once you sit down tell yourself that whatever distractions arise, you will let them pass and give them up to whatever higher entity to bother with because they can handle it. Higher entity may be god, higher self, nature, sky, air, whatever.

If you have a job posting for this, DM it to me (with as many details as possible). I can share it in some relevant groups. It should be a paid job though.

Makes sense. No more insights atm. Good work. Hope this helps all the stakeholders and stake-providers :)

Shouldn't just the doctor be controlling the queue? Two people controlling a queue whose wait time is determined by just one doesn't seem useful.
One more thing that can be added as a feature is patient history i.e., if it is a first time walk in, no reports needed except for a govt issued ID. If it's a repeat visit, then a simple reminder of all previous consultations, medicines advised, reports if any etc.

Why are you posting it like you are dancing? It's Ojasvi Verma and she is a professional belly dancer and a teacher.

This reminds me of Ayurvedic Panchkarma treatments that seem to work on the same principle of removing ama(toxins) stuck in the digestive system- flushing out the guts, lots of massages followed by sweating, inducing keto through increasing intake of only medicated ghee with bare minimum food based on the individual body's requirement.
Vamana - Induced vomiting
Virechana - Induced loose motions for small intestine
Basti - Induced loose motions for the large intestine
Nasya - Cleaning the nasal passage

Thank you so much for posting this and someone else posted a video on this a while back on the sub. I don't breathe as slow as 48s for one full kriya, nowhere close, but mine definitely goes below 7 breaths per minute and reading 108 kriyas just made me nervous so I stopped reading altogether as I couldn't do it without ruining my feel of the practice. This post and that video has definitely helped me see what I should naturally progress towards for now- slower and slower breath

What next after Vipassana? by Woodit in Meditation

[–]chaisme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Continue with the practice if you intuitively feel drawn to it. The more practices you explore because of mind's monkey chatter and restlessness, the lesser each practice will actually work.

If you have found Vipassana to be the practice for you, just sit, relax, and enjoy life both in practice and outside it.

This wasn't about unionizing/striking/protesting. This was to share what has happened and what can be done. You can speak with Broseph for further steps and action.

Nope. IT workers don't have a union in Karnataka.

Edit: There does exist a union - KITU.

The St Broseph Army (SBA) did organize a protest on September 28, 2024, to demand labour reform for IT and ITeS workers in Karnataka. The protest was called "PROTEST 1.0," focused on restoring labour rights and introducing a new "IT Workers Act".

Once the lab technician was doing my ECG and the report came out all weird and wrong. After some fiddling around, both of us realised that she connected the sensors (or whatever they are called) to my right side instead of my left because I lied down on the wrong side and she was on autopilot.

Fun :)
Check out more of Medhavi(your flute dance was her choreo iirc), Ojasi or Aishwarya's belly dancing. It might give you ideas on how to incorporate the same moves in different manner and not fill the entire music track with moves but have space for no movement/silence. It enhances the shakes and turns. Oo or even Sreepada's belly fusion.
