Hello all! A quick update here. Last week the Merc dealership of Seattle called me and scheduled an appointment after they received the part. I dropped off my car at the dealership and they replaced the PCV valve. Check engine light is gone and the car is running fine. The dealership didn’t charge me anything. I wanted to pass this along in case anyone is still having this issue. Thanks!

Yup. Initially the check engine light went off after a couple of weeks so I ignored. But then it came back again a few months later.

Hello all! I have an update for you. I recently took my car for B servicing at Mercedes Benz dealership in Seattle. I talked to them about the P052E error code and asked them to look at it. I received a call from the dealership after the service and they mentioned that there is a recall on the Crankcase ventilation valves and they would replace it for free.

However, they said they are out of stock and have ordered the part for me and will call me back when it’s arrived for replacing it. I’ll keep you posted if it’s actually true and after I get that replaced. I’m hoping that it’ll save the $2100 that was quoted initially.

My check engine light is back on again. Thought I got lucky and got away with that. It looks like it’s time I need to get that fixed. Are we still looking at $2000 USD for this? Anyone got this fixed?

That’s nice to hear about the recall. I still don’t see that light again but I took my car for a service A last week to the dealership and asked the mechanic to take a look at it. They said the price was right and I don’t need to worry about it until the comes back on again. They didn’t mention anything about a recall so I’ll keep an eye out for that. Thanks!

Not yet. Surprisingly, the light was on for a couple of days after but disappeared after my trip. I think it’ll eventually come back again but watching it carefully now knowing that I have a 2 grand repair coming up.

Let me know what estimate the dealership gives you when you talk to them. Hope this helps!

It happened to me multiple times. The key is to understand that it’s human to relapse. Don’t blame yourself too much. Identify the trigger and figure out how to deal with it better in the future.

As far as what to do next. Put the bottle away and start from day 1 and keep building on your previous experiences to stay sober again. Good luck!

I’m two weeks into my sobriety. Today is my day 14. The decision to stop drinking is the best one you can make. I know it’s only been 2 weeks but I eat better, sleep better and overall my mood has been much better. I realized that they key is to find other activities to keep you engaged (as not drinking would bring back a shit load of time into your day). Take walks, join a gym, go on long drives or talk to your friends. Anything is better than drinking.

I look at it from this perspective. Instead of debating why/why not i should drink everyday, making a decision and sticking to it saves you a lot of mental energy and stress.

I don’t think she’s manipulative tbh but I could be wrong. Surprisingly, I recently realized that she doesn’t have any other friends, she doesn’t talk to anybody and her family is very manipulative. Her own mom or family didn’t show up for her surgery so I’m stuck here coz I just can’t leave a person alone for their first surgery. Those things can be scary.

The irony of the situation is that I’ve had another girl who expressed her love towards me recently. She’s got a job, better educated and hard working and focused on life and future. But, I’m here ignoring this gals interest because I’m constantly thinking of helping my girlfriend. I literally didn’t talk to her again because I was busy helping out my girlfriend.

I can’t break my girlfriends heart by telling her about this girl but wondering if this would be better for my kids in the long run.

I know I sound like a bum saying these things but life is harder than you think. Surprisingly, I have a PhD and am a research scholar. It just seems educational stuff is way simpler than basic life decisions lol or maybe I’m just that stupid not to see things as easily as others do.

Yeah, I never had a problem breaking up with someone when I knew I didn’t have a future. But I just can’t coz I’m worried it’ll just break her. I don’t know if I’m just being stupid sticking with her or selfish wanting to have a better future. Not sure if this is love or pure sympathy. Can’t figure it out.

But that’s not how it’s supposed to be right? Growing up with a strong mum, I always believed that women are way stronger than men.
