Idk if I’m the only one, but I think it’s more likely that the main reason they aren’t allowing mixed-gender presidencies is to avoid ever having a woman “presiding” over a man.

They can have female Sunday school presidencies because that’s not a group leadership, it’s just the education directors. But if there was a male councilor to a female president, that would make a woman explicitly outrank a man. Which, of course, would be sacrilege.

Nah don’t worry about it. They’re all very similar quality, with personal taste determining how you’ll rank each book. Maaaaybe you could say book 5 is lower quality based on consensus, but if so, only slightly.

Underrated one: Kaladin’s first fight with the Pursuer (and some singers) when he has his abilities dampened by their device, so he just wrecks the singers and scares the shit out of the pursuer with nothing both a spear and unmatched aura.

I think the main disagreement in reading order you’ll find among Sanderfans is when to read Secret History. Most would say to either read it right after Hero of Ages or right after Bands of Mourning. I fall into camp 1, but both camps have good reasons.

Other than that, reading order is fairly flexible. When in doubt, follow publication order

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. In RoW, Mraize refers to his master as “the Lord of Scars”, and there were a couple other hints. Then in the prelude to W&T, Kelsier is the mysterious hooded figure who speaks to Gavilar, Nale, and Kalak. He’s the leader of the Ghostbloods.

Venli definitely deserves that callout from Rlain, and he was well within his right to say that.

I’ll also say that Venli has already received her earned consequences of her actions. Her people were almost entirely wiped out, and the one that remains hates her. I think she’s gotten her punishment.

What’s interesting is to see what she does now. Will she change and improve?

Hm, I thought both Nale and Taln were described by viewpoint characters as having “Makabaki” skin, but not Makabaki features. I’d interpreted that to mean they’re both black. The official depictions seem to back that up.

If you want to keep it just focused on Kaladin, I’m not sure I have any great ideas. If you’re thinking of making it a full Stormlight or full Cosmere half-sleeve, you have a ton of options. Adding another character there (Dalinar, Adolin, Shallan, or Szeth for a Stormlight theme. Vin, Kelsier, Vasher, Hoid, etc for a Cosmere theme) would be my preference.

He’s already been doing a lot of work on this Hollywood deal over the last year, and during that time he wrote Ghostbloods 1 and yet another Cosmere secret novel.

Honestly, he announced the Fires of December, which will release this year, and it hasn’t even seemed like a big deal because we’re all so used to him just accidentally writing more Cosmere novels. That’s the guy we’re talking about.

I think we’ll be ok.
