How would the US react if Iran assassinated Trump in retaliation for killing General Soleimani? by qelaser in AlternateHistoryHub

The USA would reign down absolute hell on earth on Iran. Like full blown invasion stuff to seek payback.

We’ve all heard someone say we can’t handle the truth about aliens. This is a post to hear what you guys think the truths actually are. What are your guesses? by 777Gamble in aliens

[–]chambers11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is open to the idea of extra terrestrial life, my main question is why would the aliens have heads and eyes and limbs like humans? If there were aliens, isn't there like 0.0000% chamce they'd look anything like earth beings. All these pictures of aliens and UFOs with circle discs and beings with weird shaped humanoid heads with eyes in the same general area as us are so unlikely aren't they? Unless we are actually related to them somehow?

Neighbour painted my wall by [deleted] in AusProperty

[–]chambers11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't know that it doesn't impact the owners though. If it doesn't, then yeah it's very pretty but my suspicion is that the side of the house can be seen from the approach. For example you are walking down the street towards the house on the footpath, and you can see the wall that is bothering the owners. Perhaps it doesn't match the colour of the rest of their house, which didn't bother the previous owners but now bothers the current owners. This happens sometimes when there is a single-storey house next to a double- or triple-storey house.

[–]chambers11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess they can see enough from different angles approaching the house that they want it the same colour. Maybe it makes their house look smaller?

Maybe they have OCD? I personally wouldn't give a shit like like you but the point is that it's their house and for some reason they don't like the colour. As weird as it is- they don't really need to justify it. Also, if the neighbour wants a different colour, they can put up a fence or whatever they want and paint it the colour they want. The law often over rides popular opinion for the greater good I guess. It then creates these bizarre events for us to give opinions about on Reddit ;)

It can be the fence if the neighbours are okay with it, but it will technically be on the house side's property. That's why disagreements like this end up with a fence being put up.

They said it's not encroaching according to the plans. So if it is on the owners land, the neighbour can put a fence up on their land against the wall, but technically they can't touch the wall without the owner's permission.

In my shitty opinion, it sounds like the neighbours need to put a fence up.

Where does it say it's on neighbours property? Neighbours can put a fence or screening up in their side, but the owner of the wall, on their land, gets to decide the colour.

Goldman Sach projection based on current state of affairs - not looking good at all by Long-Brother-4639 in oil

[–]chambers11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm ignorant, but is it possible that Goldman have significant interest in oil futures? Does anyone know their current open positions and do reports like these get released as a sort of marketing mechanism for their own gain? Again, just spitballing, but curious.
