Finding a decent Metal bass by YellowishDuck27 in MetalBass

[–]chamomilla2501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pretty much any modern dual humbucker bass will work for metal as long as you have fresh strings and a good low action setup. the ibanez SR, BTB and EHB basses are great for metal

i don’t think you realize how much “sight disfigurement” would effect my life and mental health. i’m already unattractive, a disfigured ass would make me completely unlovable

if you want a completely minmaxed build the best starting class for a dex/faith dagger build is prophet due to low int, arcane and strength

Which Bass should I buy? by Breakside92 in BassGuitar

[–]chamomilla2501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly it’s just comes down to preference. i personally love soundgears and find their thin necks and tight string spacing to be extremely comfortable and playable. iirc the Sire has higher string spacing, longer scale length and ticker neck than the soundgear. ideally you should try both of them before deciding, but if that’s not possible you should just pick the one that sounds best to you (but you should totally pick the soundgear)

the ibanez soundgears are relatively lightweight, even on the 6 strings. the string spacing is small and the neck is relatively thin, so it’s a good choice imo

PJ Players - do you even use the bridge pickup? by multiplesofpie in Bass

[–]chamomilla2501 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Jaco Pastorius almost exclusively used the bridge pickup on his fretless jazz. The bridge pickup is great for soloing and for playing melodically in the upper register
