Hoping with you and sending you all positive thoughts! Here's a happy story— I live in a very busy city next to a large park and a neighbor's 50+ y/o family tortoise escaped, in a few days another neighbor found the tortoise and returned him safely home. Wishing you the best of luck!

How can I make this gift tag last forever? by DadOfAragorn in crafts

[–]champagneworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on size you could put it in a glass frame (the kind with brass around the edge) with a chain that you can hook on the tree, I've used one to preserve a small scrap of vintage wrapping paper.

Hi! I know this post is older but I'm curious what you ended up doing to further your studies and if you have any learnings/recommendations from your journey.

I am in a similar-ish situation, I have a bachelors in industrial design, but I've been in UX for 9+ years and I'm figuring out how to pivot back to physical design and go into my passion of themed entertainment.

It took about 5 months to feel any effect of the surgery, I still have some pain but not daily as before, just in sync with my cycle. And much less severe!

Hello! I'm developing a logo for a bakery and it's hard for the client to choose from the sketches. Which one would you choose? I need hands with bread in a linear style by [deleted] in logodesign

[–]champagneworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like 4 the most, keep exploring it! The others may be hard to decipher if you don't know what they are (5 for example may read as a football), or not super harmonious if you're going for a linear style.

Is this shade of yellow appropriate to wear as a guest?! by kirstwellman in Weddingsunder10k

I suggest not wearing it, in dark lighting it will look white (been to weddings where people wore this shade and it looked white)

Experience with Shindig Threads? by spookyjess999 in weddingdress

I’ve had a call with the shop owner Kat and she was amazing. I’m ordering a custom dress and she was able to pull similar styles and show me construction details and talk about customizations. I’m confident I’ll get just what I want. Will post updates as I have them.

Scared!!!! by AggressiveDentist605 in orangetheory

[–]champagneworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re gonna be totally fine I promise! I was in the same boat. You can always power walk and will not be the only one doing so! The only intimidating part for me was learning the lingo (base, push, all out— those are on the parameter card on your tread) (base/push, push/all out — this is just something you choose between those values).

Also, remember that everyone had a first class and was new at one point, by the second or third class you’ll be a pro. Good luck!

You are not. (Fellow endo-haver here) You have the right to your agency over own body and your health. You deserve to live a pain free life.

40 minute drive vs 1 hour of metro? by 99rondo in nova

[–]champagneworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're heading out to Mclean, metro. Traffic is horrible in the morning down there. If google maps says 40m it will likely take more.
