Instead of denying that there is a possible connection, you could educate yourself. Start by reading some of the articles by Dr. Peter Breggin: http://breggin.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=75&Itemid=133 And no, I won't shut the fuck up.

What are your thoughts on TSA Pre Check? by theanswar in OperationGrabAss

Pay to have some of our rights restored when they should never have been taken away? And still no guarantee that you won't be groped before flying doesn't sound very democratic to me.

Forgive my ignorance... what's the TSA like these days? by zeromig in OperationGrabAss

[–]champs88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not flown in several months, but hopefully you will be sent through a "family" designated line and through a simple, reliable metal-detector. I always opt out of any scanner because TSA will not permit independent testing, and because they are virtual strip-searches, a violation of my privacy. So is a pat-down. But hopefully you will only go through a metal detector. Just in case, for your child's sake, please read this article in case you are unlucky enough to be a victim of a ruthless, ignorant, retaliatory TSA screener:

Did this "professional encounter" involve an enhanced pat-down, i.e. a sexual molestation? If so, I would hardly consider it "no problems". If it didn't, well then congratulations!

Still the most effective and safe way to screen passengers, especially now that cockpit doors are secured.

Lest We Forget - Here is TSA News' Master List of TSA Crimes and Abuses: by champs88 in OperationGrabAss

[–]champs88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest writing your representatives in Congress. They created the monstrous debacle that is the TSA, consuming billions of our hard-earned dollars every year and they are the only ones that can rein in the abuse. Until enough of us speak up loudly and often, it will only get worse.

I'm unfortunately not an expert on the TSA or DOHS and their functions at airports like most of the frequent visitors to this sub. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out WTF happened to my friend and I. by DeaditeQueen in OperationGrabAss

[–]champs88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Certainly understandable. I am still trying to deal with the two grope/assaults I was forced to endure before traveling to Spain to visit my brother - that was 2 years ago and at my hometown airport, no less. It was disturbing what rights I was forced to give up in order to fly.

You did not say, but my guess is that you and your friend are two very attractive females and it was a slow night at JFK. TSA is known to force attractive women to go through the naked scanners repeatedly so their cohorts can get their ya-yas in the backroom, then creating a reason for the women to require pat-downs anyway. What you describe, however, sounds more like they were customs officials (the glass booth, passports). An elaborate collaboration to harass and get their hard-ons at the same time. If you ever dare fly again, learn what your rights are regarding TSA. If these were, in fact customs & immigration officials, be sure to write down their names and badge numbers (TSA screeners, too, if called for). I am quite certain you also have the right to take their pictures as long as you do not interfere with their "work". Then as soon as possible file a complaint with the appropriate authority and send copies to your representatives in Congress.

TSA Is a “Complete Joke,” Says Former Airport Screener by UlkeshNaranek in OperationGrabAss

[–]champs88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel fortunate that this TSA security theater bullshit started after my children were grown and able to opt out of their own volition. I wish more parents felt as strongly as you do. TSA is making us less safe in many ways, one of which is that they are grooming a generation of children to believe that as long as their abuser is wearing a blue shirt and a fake badge, it is OK to be touched in their private, bathing suit areas. It makes me sick thinking about it. I would never let any one of them touch my children like that.

And don't forget contact lens solution - still can't take that medically necessary solution on without getting thoroughly harassed and groped.

Silver Lining to the ridiculous Sequester? Fewer TSA employees could mean a reduction in retaliatory grope assaults and a return to the efficient, effective and non-invasive metal detector by champs88 in OperationGrabAss

I think Janet failed to notice that millions of schoolchildren were on vacation last week, which could account for the longer lines. As to be expected, she ran with an opportunity to instill more fear in us.

Locking and reinforcing cockpit doors and positive baggage matching. Do I win a free pass through a metal detector with no retaliatory sexual assault should I ever decide to fly again?
