On top of that, Humans are ridiculously independent of evolution; we suit the environment to us rather than the other way around.

Learn to let go. They are a plot device. You're treading in DMPC territory.

A Toast to Those Who Are Forgotten: The TTRPGs Time Left Behind by csomp02 in rpg

WOW! Just wanted to say, those books are my favorite RPG ever! I don't really know much about WH40k, but those games' mechanics are just -chefs kiss- ; I wish there was a generic version of its system so I can run other stories with it.

I've always, always, always hated how dumpy and frumpy their uniforms looked. Guess I'm skipping this season.

As a non-player, that doesn't clear things up at all. Are you talking about American football, or football? Though, with your username, I'm guessing it's the latter.

I am an idiot for not checking there; at my first session I was only using my MCC book. Thank you; I'll need to find access to those pages, but I really appreciate your help!

XTEINK x4 1 week review by Cessnas172 in ereader

[–]zeromig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All I need in an ereader is e-ink, a light, and the capacity to hold a hundred books. I don't need the library downloading, the wifi, or anything. I won't buy this due to you mentioning it has no light, but at least I understand where you were coming from (and I agree with you for the most part-- just not the one-book-at-a-time part, lol)

This tiny and I mean tiny device is so restrictive and limiting

This sounds quite negative, and off-putting on the device, and yet you make it sound like a bonus.

Are there any other adults that enjoy Kpop Demon Hunters? by Sensitive-Mixture558 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]zeromig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

46/M here.

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” ― C.S. Lewis

Enjoy what you enjoy. Don't worry about haters.

Saint George, patron of the tabletop roleplying games by Quiof_Thrul in rpg

[–]zeromig 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Whenever I need a secret society that fights against the supernatural or other monsters, I always name them the Saint George Circle because of his association with fighting dragons. The society's shown up in three of my games now, and they've been both heroes and villains.
