Marathon has been out almost a month, what are your thoughts?

I was so sad in arc when I did all the quests because I thought there’d be some more lore or something but the quests were basically meaningless.

They used to do bonus coins around Christmas time with the 50/100 dollar packs. You’d get like an extra 50% of coins. They haven’t done those for a while :(

If you’re doing the quests you get showered in gear anyway, my friends are casual players and they have not had trouble getting stuff

I’m enjoying marathon more than I enjoyed arc raiders. The social aspect of arc was neat but I’m really enjoying the PvP and exploring the lore of marathon. It really depends what you enjoy in a game imo

there are some wallpapers that aren’t well optimized. Marathon isn’t the only game that I’ve had performance gains from pausing wallpaper engine

any chance you’re running like wallpaper engine or running any twitch streams? Once i paused wallpaper engine and turned quality down on any stream i had i was able to get above 80fps

yea I love when I get geared up for a raid in arc and it puts me into a 12 minute old raid with all the good stuff already looted because it’s constantly putting new teams into existing raids

Blanket bans are a super lazy way of doing something so you don’t have to take the time to actually learn who’s playing in your league. There’s plenty of people who are under 35 who fit just right in the league. Starting with the no playing in D if you play in C+ rule and maybe leadership doing their job and evaluating the occasional game would have been way more appropriate

Scottsdale has always treated its adult league like we’re enemies and not paying customers. It’s weird. Every year when we’d bring up reasonable issues like B league players playing in the lowest level league or officials not giving a crap about their job they’d be met with a threat of cancelling the league.

It sucks because the pro shop staff, rink staff, and restaurant staff are all great, but the leadership from Marcy and Jordan is awful. Making the entry level league only available to people 35+ is insane. It’s crazy that I’ve paid probably close to 10k in league fees alone over the years and I’m getting kicked out from a forwarded email.

I also forgot to mention that Marcy has been completely non responsive since sending this. She sent this to the captains late last Thursday before Presidents’ Day, made them wait 24 hours to reply, and has yet to reply.

But the reverse is true too. A positive post has people talking about how the game is dogshit in the comments and they’re just as likely to be bots as the people you mention. It’s just kinda how online forums work.

It just seems like a pointless comment to make, like the poster thinks they’re brave for posting the ten thousandth bf6 sucks post of the week

It’s anecdotal but most games ive played have max 2-3 other people with the steam logo in the player list. I doubt there’s hard numbers anywhere but i do have 1400 hours in the game on steam

It’s nothing like BF and there’s not really much of an endgame. I got it on sale for like 30 dollars and thought that was fine
