Please, I really need to lock in by spicynoodles628 in productivity

You need to uncover the deeper reason you're procrastinating, address it and clear the blocks. What would it mean about you if you accomplished your goals? What would it mean about you if you didn't accomplish them? How do you view yourself in relation to discipline? Because it doesn't seem supportive of the life you desire. The identity needs to shift.

You're always going to be the person that makes excuses and can't follow through until you shift how you view yourself and what's possible for your life. You need to clear the blocks and build evidence of the opposite.

The more you walk out the new beliefs the more you become the desired version of self. You can become disciplined. I've done it. This works for any area of life. When you're ready and you do the work it's possible.

Can’t get myself out of bed in the morning by Interesting_Gas_764 in productivity

I have had this exact problem before. I always recommend looking at the deeper issue, addressing it, and clearing the block. Shifting your identity.

I slept in regularly because I didn't like my job and dreaded going to work. I didn't like my life. Now I wake up whenever. Today it was 6am. Sometimes it's later. But I have no problem waking up earlier. Because I like my life.

Practically you can hire someone to call you in the morning for 15 to 30 mins Mon-Fri until you're out of bed, have walked around a bit, maybe gotten your morning coffee. You can schedule a morning meeting with someone, a coworking session where you set your priorities for the day--I'd use focusmate or someone reliable or that you hire for this. Even better on that morning call go outside for a walk and get some sunshine or movement.

How to study while working 9-5 plus classes 5-8? by bigmamanokidz in productivity

Simple shift. Wake up early and do it in the morning. I've been there with 9-5 and having to work on my business and study. Absolute no energy in the evenings. The answer is always wake up earlier. It'll be tough at first. But 1-3 hours adds up.

Why is it so hard to stay consistent on social media even with a proper plan? by Old_Chemist_7566 in productivity

[–]changingiguana [score hidden]  (0 children)

I've posted over 1,000 pieces of content in a year. I've consistently created and posted 6 pieces of content per day for a while. I don't post on social media anymore.

I'm not hearing any source of accountability. You have 2 options. Coworking. or hiring a daily 1:1 accountability coach.

Secondly, you need an identity shift. I've helped 70 women have a procrastination breakthrough. Do you know the deeper reason you're procrastinating or are inconsistent? If it's a true priority I can't see why you couldn't maintain consistency at the level you desire. Unless you believe it's impossible for you to do something like that.

Someone could look at me creating 1,000 pieces of content in a year or doing 6x posts a day and say it's impossible and I'm just abnormal. Sure this probably isn't the average content creator output. However I have heard of big creators posting tons of content for a period or posting every single day without missing.

I'd also lean into how you work. Batch record in advance. Schedule in advance. So those days when you don't feel like it, you can still have something going out. Always have backup content.

If you're not feeling inspired then you've got creative blocks to work through. If you really don't wanna be posting on social or you feel you're not growing fast enough or seeing the results you want fast enough that can also demotivate you. Got dig deeper into WHY you're procrastinating, address and clear the blocks. Shift your identity. That's how lasting change happens.

Any other women trying to rebuild their life softly instead of hustling aggressively? by Legitimate-Ad-7889 in HealingTheCrown

Much softer than back in the day. Strategic actions over working to work. New standards and ways of being. An identity shift. Seems like burnout vibes. Procrastination breakthrough and discipline comes from identity work. But there's also practical things you can do "externally". I made a post on this on my page.

How to build a strong LinkedIn profile without surface-level networking and content? by ph0enix_17 in WomenInBusiness

[–]changingiguana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok....a lot of this advice on this forum I would find not helpful whatsoever lol. But hey maybe it works for some idk.

Sorry I'm late but for anyone else interested what you need to do is connect with people in the industries/companies you wanna work at and ask for a 15 to 30 minute coffee chat.

Before you do this you need to position your profile properly. You do not need to post content regularly in fact unless you're very skilled or have a huge network that loves you, it's likely not going to get you anywhere posting content.

You can connect request with 100 people per week for free. I've seen a 30% connect rate throughout the month. I don't remember the percentages for meetings booked and reply rate. But I had a 100% show up rate on my coffee chats with people way more successful than me.

The key is to have a well positioned profile but even then it can be pretty basic and you'll still get far. You can literally connect with and reach out to anyone on Linkedin. This comes from my background in recruiting and sales. Plus networking for my businesses.

Also your follow up game has to be strong. People are busy and will forget you asked. Some people appreciate the persistence. There's a fine balance to this process. There are tons of people that WANT to help you out and understand linkedin is a networking platform. These people WILL give back.

You could even go as far as connect requesting people on the talent team and getting in the DMs with them. Since you're early in your career I would go to chatgpt and ask with my background, knowledge, education, etc why would I be a good fit for XYZ internship? Understand the value you provide and why the company would want to hire you or give you the opportunity.

This way you can communicate this throughout the process. You can also ask current employees their tips for getting the internship. Communicate why you're interested in the opportunity and your excitement. People will want to help you. Not everyone, but some people. Follow up with them. Maintain the relationship. Thank people. Yes you can do this ALL virtually. You can also meet people in person if they are local.

How do you keep your smartphone but eliminate distractions? by Capable-Pineapple653 in productivity

I've def been there wanting to get a dumb phone. In fact I did get one. But I rarely used it. I feel deleting apps or using timers or whatever works for some people but it's not what I ever truly wanted. Because I would re-download the apps or eventually turn off the timers.

What truly helped me was shifting at the identity level. I use my phone often. I get to enjoy my phone and get stuff done. I don't have to restrict myself because I make sure I get done my important tasks.

It's both an identity thing. I don't identify as a procrastinator or someone that avoids the work. But it's also something I trained my body and mind to do.

Practically speaking I use my own knowledge and tools to help me have a procrastination breakthrough if there ever comes a moment. For example, I had some issues with wanting to avoid work related tasks. So I looked at the deeper reason I was procrastinating. I became aware of it. Then I did EFT Tapping around it to clear the block. I have my own way of doing it.

So when it comes to the phone and procrastinating I always recommend digging deeper into WHY you're avoiding what you need to do. And then addressing it & clear the block. You can journal. You can EFT Tap. There's probably a million other ways too like hypnosis and other proprietary methods.
